Ultraviolence was the first release I really followed online and it was so controversial at first, which I think people forget because it's so appreciated now But people had seriously mixed feelings about her changing up her image, the fucking Ultraviolence orange video, "vice is running shit", the trailer that was amazing but that we hardly got content for. I even remember some people freaking out about the audio video for West Coast because people thought the entire video would just be her spinning on loop It ended up being The Album of the summer in 2014 for me though and we were all blessed but it was definitely a mess.

The odd thing is, though, the lyricism and sound to this song sounds like her old music. So I don't think her being happy necessarily makes all of her music sunshine and daisies (two of my favorite things, but nevermind that). I think it just aides her creativity to be motivated. And I KNOW that people say that depression creates great art all the fucking time, but as someone who has been dealing with clinical depression, it doesn't help if you have absolutely no motivation to make it. So I'm glad she's happy, and I'm glad to hear some of the most inspired, sexy, dark music of her career coming out of this era.

Just saying, but with the theme and sound of this song, I could definitely see BAR being in the album (if this is also on the album).
