  1. he who must not be named, tbh... i didn't mean that in a bad way, btw. Just like... it usually starts arguments whenever his name is uttered.
  2. Courtney is almost never happy with anything. As my friend once said "She is a ghoul that haunts the earth." :smiles:
  3. hahahaa. Dave Grohl owns some of the rights to nirvana as well- thats a big controversy between Love and Grohl. They don't get along very well because they see Nirvana's music in two different lights

  5. I know, I know. but... I mean a professional one! oibrosphfgsig
  6. Holy shit... a video for yayo, DONT GO THERE. My heart.
  7. anyone think that this is possibly a video for "Riding/My Bitch"?
  8. I couldn't agree more. I think thats what's so mesmerizing about her. She has a HUGE range of style and everything. So, it makes me hopeful about where she will go musically and how far she's come as an artist. I love SO many of her songs.
  9. And I think there are so many fans that agree with you, about loving how lana's style has evolved. It paints a fuller picture for fans.
  10. *Seizing* omg. I can't. I need a new lana video. WOWWWW. Okay Lana. Just shoot a motorcycle video without any warning.
  11. Well, I introduced Lana to a lot of my friends- and they all really like her. Even people who really wanted to hate her. And in general, I think Lana is actually quite popular in Baltimore. She has the kind of aesthetic that people here can connect to, I think. Diners and motels and trash culture and that sort of thing. She has a really campy side that is very baltimore (like in Kinda Outta Luck). So, I think she's actually pretty popular. When my sister and I and my best friend all went to see her in NYC, there was at least one other couple who was on our bus going to see her as well
  12. "jumping on all soft furnishings." hahahahaha omg. what an incredibly beautiful turn of phrase.
  13. I've agreed with every single thing MOY has said. I got your back baby. hahaha
  14. I'm actually really close to DC hahaha. But I don't know the protocol for accessing copywritten material
  15. Okay, so these are the songs rumored to be on the re-release from many different sources. Can anyone validate which ones we can expect? I know we've all heard several song titles, but here's some I've heard will be on it: 1. Body Electric 2. Burning Desire 3. Blue Velvet 4. Because of You 5. In the Land of Gods and Monsters 6. Will You Still Love Me 7. ? 8. ? What are the other two songs? I can't remember their names
  16. This is pretty sad, tho. I do have to agree. Hopefully one day I'll be on the cover of GQ- NUDE- with clothed women all around me. Wouldn't that be something?
  17. I'm confused. Are you worried about lana's lyrics? Or these pictures? They communicate the same essential message, which she even blatantly states in the interview saying, quite bluntly, "there's nothing ironic about it." And Lana's never really been marketed purposefully to a young audience, i don think. Also, these pictures don't communicate anything new that lana hasn't already said in her music. I'm confused about what your concerned about now, when this has been part of her message from the beginning?
  18. I really do not like the version of Lolita on Born to Die.
  19. Just playing devil's advocate here, mostly. People are saying the media is changing Lana or whatever- maybe it's true, maybe it's not. I don't really like the cover photo either. But I do really like a lot of the photos, and in all honesty- yes this is GQ, as moniker said. And she's woman of the year, no less. What did you guys expect? I guess a price to pay for one of her best interviews is that you HAVE to stare at her naked body while reading it- OH THE HORROR, OH THE SHAME.
  20. I'd love to hear her cover Janis Joplin as well. Summertime is a perfect choice for me. (You can hear my cover of that same song here, btw: http://soundcloud.com/hunter-hooligan/summertime )
  21. 1. Lolita 2. Body Electric 3. Toxic (Britney Spears cover) 4. Heart Shaped Box 5. Off to the Races ------------------------------------------------------- 6. Kinda Outta Luck 7. Blue Jeans 8. You Can Be the Boss 9. Dark Paradise 10. Grama 11. Radio ------------------------------------------------------- 12. Oh Say Can You See 13. Carmen 14. Goodbye Kiss 15. Pawnshop Blues 16. Yayo 17. National Anthem ENCORE: 18. Million Dollar Man 19. Summertime Sadness 20. Video Games
  22. I'm going to need all the nay-sayers to take SEVERAL seats right away. I hardly think Lana was pushed into this. Also, did anyone else think that the nudity was a physical manifestation of her being "naked" and "vulnerable" in the interview? She was "stripped" and "bared all." I loved every second of it. Check your personal reasons for being afraid of nudity at the door. Thank you.
