  1. I actually still love the song at the short length, but she could have taken it so much further with a longer run time and made it beyond epic.
  2. There's actually not a single song on the record I don't like, but here's how I'd currently rank them (these rankings will probably change completely after a few more listens in better quality as is the way with all Lana records): 1 Heroin 2 13 Beaches 3 In My Feelings 4 White Mustang 5 When the World Was At War We Kept On Dancing 6 Get Free 7 Cherry 8 Summer Bummer 8 Tomorrow Never Came 10 Love 11 Groupie Love 12 Beautiful People Beautiful Problems 13 Lust for Life 14 Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind 15 Change 16 God Bless America - And All the Beautiful Women In It I seriously mourn the loss of BAR on the album, but I'll shut up and deal with it.
  3. Damn, that interview was so raw and emotional. She expands on ideas and questions in ways we haven't seen since she was burned during the Ultraviolence promo cycle with the "I wish I was dead already." She's such an honest person, to a fault, even when she's saying she doesn't want to answer a question. I really respect her as an artist and a human just trying to make a life.
  4. I respect your opinion but totally disagree. I think it fits in perfectly with White Mustang and Heroin, like sonically and thematically...but I'm pretty much the fucking worst harping on and on about that track especially when we got so many new amazing tracks... so everyone should ignore my ass lol.
  5. -In My Feelings -13 Beaches -Cherry -White Mustang -Heroin -Get Free -While The World Was At War We Kept Dancing -Best American Record
  6. As a former copy editor and proof reader the "Back to work or GO the coffee shop" error in the booklet is killing me. It's not difficult to avoid small mistakes like these. I guess it's not a huge deal, just messy.
  7. and her backing vocals are haunting
  8. this is the youtube version, I listened to it right when she posted it. the youtube version starts with "hip hop in the summer" and does the whole "white lines and white beaches" thing while the spotify version starts with "It's never too late" and has the "white lines and white beaches" later in the song.
  9. this is clearly the superior version, I don't understand Lana's choices sometimes...
  10. I'm still really confused about the two versions of Summer Bummer. The one on Youtube is closer to the version she was teasing on Instagram, right? Like, you can hear her singing over the end of Playboi Carti verse in that version, but on Spotify his verse is longer and her vocals don't overlap? I feel like the two versions are so different and I don't understand WHY. Which one will be on the album? I think the Youtube version is better arranged and more Lana-centric.
  11. Get Drunk reminds me of my fucked up, drugged up past. Sometimes I almost long for those bad, messy times because I truly felt like I was living. But it wasn't healthy. A lot of Lana songs bring out these feelings in me. Depression. Addiction. Mad love. Breaking free from something. Finding a new life.
  12. white lines and black beaches, white lies and black beaches makes up for whatever happens with the chorus on Summer Bummer
  13. The Groupie Love snippet reminds me a little of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.
  14. http://picosong.com/download/WbTm/ This song has hypnotized me and taken over my soul tbh.
  15. I just listened to it on repeat until I cried all over my damn face. lol I hope she changes it up a little with her tone, but the song is so melancholy and flows together like the words are just falling out of her mouth stream of consciousness style. Love it.
  16. I have a feeling White Mustang might be kinda melancholy, but I only think that because it reminds me of BAR sorta and there's so much longing and aching and resentment in that little tune.
  17. Damn, it sounds so sinister...I fucking love when Lana gets gritty like that.
  18. So, the title Summer Bummer is just... so bad imo... but Lana has that kinda strange, tacky taste that always works out in the end, so I think we should all just roll with it. If that gorgeous single cover (minus the font!) says anything about the song, it's probably going to be amazing. Ugh, so many conflicting feels, Lana!!!
  19. This is me, exactly. I am beyond obsessed with this snippet. The melody and the lyrics just won't leave my head, I need the rest so I can live!
  20. I can't get this one out of my head. It's haunting me.

love the lyrics, will have to wait to hear the song in full, tho, because I can't seem to find the melody, if that makes sense... it's not sticking in my head like cherry or white mustang
  22. I really like it, it's giving me BAR vibes, too.
