I thought I'd write a few words about last Friday's concert at the Gasometer in Vienna.

There were two entrances into the concert venue and I was the first in line for the one that opened from the mall. It was exactly 10 AM when I had a seat at my spot and everyone looked at me like I was crazy. So, about a half an hour later people started arriving more frequently. Unfortunately, 4 FUCKING BITCHES cut before me in the row and when I kept telling them to let me in first when they open the gates because I was there first they just said 'okay-okay'.
About 3 PM I saw three guys in the distance and one of them wore a Kassidy tee. I promised myself to educate myself a little about the band, but I didn't really had time before the concert, and in hindsight I wish I knew more about the band back then. But I knew it right away that they were members, I mean, who else would wear Kassidy t-shirts in Vienna, where no one else could have heard about them before? So I ran towards them and I said something like "Erm... Sorry. Are you the band that plays before Lana?" And they were smiling and said yes. How rude I was, gosh? But I knew I was so lucky in that moment. I began babbling about how long I've been waiting for the show and that I hope I'll have fun (I don't know what was I thinking, it was obvious I'd have fun, but I just kept running my mouth) and they said they're sure I will. I wanted to ask them if Barry's gonna perform Summer Wine that night with Lana, but I was so out of my mind it's a miracle I reminded myself to ask them a favor. They were so kind and bland, they asked my name and we shook hands and they were really-really friendly and nice.
When I read the amazing Duke's review about the show he attended I was so worried about how I could get my gift to Lana, I thought I wouldn't meet with anyone.. So I asked them if they could give her the little stuffed animal and the letter I brought her, and they said yes, sure, they'd give it to her personally. I was so happy! No one else in the queue had any idea what was I doing and they didn't even had a clue who the hell were the people I was talking to. So then we said goodbye and I went back to my spot.
At 7 PM everyone stood up and another two girls cut their ways before me in the row, but I got in before them thanks to the crappy security system which did not look at my bag, they simply let me in. I was like fourth or fifth. I ran and ran, I didn't really know where to run, so I followed the others. There weren't any signs showing the way, it was quite confusing. I was planning on being on the left side of the stage (Lana's right side, if you view it through her eyes) but the front row only had places at the left side so I thought I wouldn't give up that sweet place. I regret not doing so, IF YOU ARE DEBATING ON WHICH SIDE TO STAND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO CHOOSE THE LEFT. That'll be important later.
So, Kassidy started playing at about 7.30 or 40 PM, I wish I checked out their songs before the concert.  It was such a shitty audience, everyone was looking at their watches, they couldn't appreciate they music. Lana was 20 minutes late which led to skipping Knockin' On Heaven's Door and Without You from the original setlist. She literally said: 'No, skip that' when someone in the band asked her.
I was hoping that she'd have a nice outfit, make-up and hair and I loved it. She was like a young spanish girl, she looked really great. She interacted more with the left side of the front row than with the right, and she didn't go through the front row, she was forced to leave at the quarter of the row. She stopped signing, giving hugs and kisses and accepting gifts after that and she left the stage with a very confused fake smile. There were no reasons given why she was late, why she skipped two songs and why she had to leave that early, because it was like 10 PM.
My theory is that since Gasometer also serves as a block of flats (which has its entrance right next to the concert venue's, and I could hear the sound technician's volume testing from down under at my waiting spot) she was not allowed to play after 10 PM, because of the people living there. Or maybe there's a simple law and not a local thing. So, I didn't have my picture of her signed (however I was holding it out for an hour and a half and my hand was cramping for hours afterwards) and it was also very short and I had 8 hours to spend on the streets before my train arrived but I liked it.
I was sad and a little bit disappointed, but I know many people won't even have any experience close to this, so I cheer myself up with recalling the nice moments of the night.

If you have any questions about this particular show or about the system, I will try to answer them with my best knowledge.

I'm afraid there isn't much to say after all. We almost got suspended from the entire area. From the brief meeting with Kassidy and seeing her on stage I ~subjectively sense that things were kind of tense in the team. The local promoter had done all efforts necessary to keep her away from fans, we were told that they do not want her to meet fans "because if she starts to sign autographs, she doesn't stop until she signed more than 50." Everything was pretty strange, to be honest.

BY THE WAY, information for all: I asked at the merch store and all merch that isn't available on the online store yet, will be in the coming days. They are still working on the site and are accumulating their inventories for the online store, that's why many products aren't listed yet.

So I sent an email to some of the emails that were in the contact page. I wrote an email to david.boyne @ bravado.com and recieved a reply from Anna.Gladkaya @ umusic.com
    Here's the email:

I can confirm that the store you were enquiring about is the Official UK and European Lana Del Rey Store. We’ve recently “refurbished” the merch store and are in the process of getting the link from Lana’s site updated.

Also, the tour merch online will be on sale at Lana’s upcoming shows.

she said the litho isn't signed and that it was an error. The signed lithos are only available at her shows
Anyway if anyone happens to buy it, I'd like to know if it comes signed or not

I doubt she has much input on her merchandise. I once saw a paparazzi video where someone was trying to her to sign a Ride 7" vinyl with the flag picture and she was like, "I didn't know they made this!"

Love the top, I think I'll buy it at the venue but I think I'll order the autographed poster via web.

Here's a picture of the Litho and the signature. It really is beautiful, and even if I do hate that guy he does fit the mood of the picture. We all loved him in blue jeans   The texture is great and it's nowhere near as flimsy and easy to break as a regular poster. I brought it with me on a plane, and tada, still perfect.

Here's a picture of another signed picture by her (bought on ebay by a trusted seller *I hope*) The colors are upped in contrast to show off the signature.

Other signatures HERE, HERE and HERE. I was puzzled by how the signature seemed different, but imagine signing 150 for each concert (?) or in a sitting, it gets kinda boring. It looks like it's rushed, and you can clearly see that it's by a marker that's kinda worn out up close. She change her style too, the loop of the Y is not always curled at the end. Meh, I trust her not to rip us off.

The top - now this is big in size. I bought it in medium, and it's kinda roomy. If you're tiny I would recommend getting it in XS, go down a size if you don't want it too big. The print is sturdy and it's not crappy made - there's even a label on it that says it's ethically made. i guess this means no child labour? That's a good thing in my opinion.

    Aaaand that was it.

This is an interesting theory but I doubt you really can draw these conclusions ("piracy" => higher prices for merch). There are several studies who showed that this illegal sharing of music in fact helped artists getting recognition and convinced people to buy the music or go to a concert. So I don't think merch at those big concerts is so expensive because the "poor" megastars would starve otherwise but just to get as much money as possible from the devoted fans. Years before the internet was invented Mylène Farmer f.ex. sold really expensive collector's items to her hardcore fans = to people who want to collect everything ever issued from their idol... (This always appeared to me as a way of almost "ripping of" fans. But on the other hand those guys who bought these collector's stuff were happy, even if they had to pay several 100 bucks for it so no one to blame here maybe.)

Yeah, I don't see the point in it being 250 NOK higher in price if it's not signed by Lana   I can take some pictures of my stuff when I get home.

I bought the signed blue jeans poster for 750 nok (131 dollar) and the tank top for 250 nok (43 dollar). The t-shirt with the list of her songs on the back costed a bit more than the tank top, and the poster without her signature costed 500 NOK (?). There was only 150 versions of the signed blue jeans poster on the concert, don't know if this is a thing for each show?

There was also a giant poster of her paradise cover (clean, only her photo, without text) that looked really neat, but I honestly never cared for the paradise cover. They also sold iphone covers with THIS picture. AND some Kassidy merchandise

Pitchfork: You've worked with Lana Del Rey, though she's not on the record.
AR: Everybody's upset about that. To be truthful, they leaked the fucking bad version of the song, ["Ridin'"]. It turned me off. And everybody saw it coming. I didn't want to do too much clichéd shit, I wanted to be unpredictable.
