If you're driving to Malibu from LA you can go through Mulholland Drive and Laurel Canyon and then take the 101 to Topanga Canyon and then get to Malibu from there, and then go down PCH to Santa Monica/Venice Beach!

I was just listening to California and it’s tragic how desperate she sounds. It almost reminds me of Blue Jeans in a way. She’s saying that she’ll grab the liquor from the top shelf for this man if he comes back, even though Bartender (just two songs away) essentially talks about her sobriety. She’ll go back to her old BTD/UV vices if this guy comes back, it’s pretty sad ngl

As a vegetarian, I like get why people like leather goods because it’s so ingrained in American culture (leather jackets, leather boots, belts, wallets, etc it’s actually pretty hard to avoid leather) but a stuffed animal made out of fur is...different -

btw, being 'polished' doesn't make an album objectively good or better there's a reason people prefer The Weeknd's original unmastered mixtapes vs. the Trilogy versions. I'd argue that most mainstream pop artists will have a much more cleaner and polished sound than Lana's discography but that doesn't automatically make them better albums. It lowkey adds to charm, and at least to me the white noise in all of the songs in NFR doesn't bother me, and I really thought purposefully did it in these two songs (i.e. California, Bartender, etc) like how they did in Old Money/PWYC, Cherry, or 24. but idk for WHF I hope there's more white noise tbh
