Speculations on Lana's relationship with her mother
Crimson and Clover replied to Whoopiedoo's topic in Lana Thoughts
not to sound judgemental or anything but Patricia looks like the type that literally wants nothing to do with the spotlight. Also whenever Lana mentions "daddy" "my old man" "my father" "dad" in her music I'm pretty sure a lot of (casual) listeners wonder whether she's talking about her dad or her daddy, and I'm sure this was deliberate when writing these songs. It makes the listener uncomfortable and adds to the Lolita persona and she tried to build up throughout the years. Since the Lolita persona has basically died out, I can't really remember any recent song where she mentions any patriarchal figure other than herself. -
"buy her tonight, she's still shining :hooker:" also I remember when I first heard the FMWUTT snippet I thought she says "Lay me down tonight, Arabian girls"

I haven't really cared for this era but the new Charli + Troye song is really good! I'm pretty surprised because I didn't really like 1999 and this is a great improvement in my eyes. It reminds me of a darker version of Hannah Diamond's "The Ending"!!

NFR's greatest strength is that there aren't really any low lows compared to basically all of her other albums (BTD's fillers + messy production, UV's repetitive lyrics, HM's Freak + HBTH , LFL ) but there are some really high highs here. I know some people will like these albums no matter what, but there's a reason why NFR's receiving lots of acclaim imo (when you look through the eyes of the GP)
