  1. Aw no, I don’t think so. I think she loves her parents and has a decent relationship with them, just likes to keep her relationships private. Rob is very supportive of her (I think Pat just takes a low profile when it comes to the public) and seems like a great dad.
  2. Wow I didn’t realize how old this thread is. Anyway. About the whole “why did she live in a trailer park her parents/mother must have mistreated her or something” Lana moved into a trailer park after she got a $10,000 advance from a record label. She wasn’t destitute, it was a choice she had the liberty to make. Just a young artist wanting to experience a different sort of life in my opinion, remember she grew up wealthy and she probably yearned to see “the other side”. She elaborates quite a lot and makes up stories so it’s not really helpful to take her at her word or make assumptions of her based on her lyrics. About the whole “why was she an alcoholic at 14”...I agree with the poster who says Lana was probably just dabbling in alcohol and partying like many young teen girls and began neglecting her school work, so her parents sent her to the more strict, regulated boarding school environment. I think she’s closer to her father than her mother (based not on lyrics but on his public presence concerning her, his Instagram and Twitter accounts, congratulating her, times in public he’s called her a “genius” and commended her work, etc). I don’t think there’s anything to be concerned with there, most children are closer to one parent.
  3. I doubt “My Momma” is about Lana’s mother. I highly doubt Lana calls her mom “momma”. Lana has played around with southern American dialect and stereotypes in her music and I think that song is more of a reflection of that.
  4. Aw haha, I don’t mean to sound negative. I’m sorry. Was just sharing my thoughts.
  5. You’re right, I’m new here. Although I like my second post, haven’t seen another asking the particular question I asked.
  6. No proof that Lana lived in L.A. during her gap year. In fact it’s understood that she moved in with her uncle and aunt in Long Island and worked as a waitress at that time. I wouldn’t believe this even if Lana came out tomorrow and said she lived in L.A. when she was 18 (I wouldn’t put it past her to try to add this mythology to her repertoire). Why wouldn’t I believe it? I need proof to believe things, not theories, not loose connections to her lyrics. This is kind of like musing who “Diet Mountain Dew” is about and looking up guys who drove white Pontiacs in the New York area and randomly tying the song to one of them. Of course we know DMD is about Arthur Lynn because of his repeated references to that drink on his social media(s), but you see what I mean. Not a reliable theory, and in fact it goes against Lana’s documented time with her aunt and uncle. My thoughts? K is a figure dreamt up from books, movies, etc, like much of Lana’s themes. We’d be better off looking for criminals in literature or film whose names start with K, tbh. But I’m of the mind that he’s just a fantasy she made up.
  7. There is nooo proof that that guy actually had anything to do with her, seems someone just googled crimes committed by people who got the death penalty whose names started with “K”...not really a reliable source.
  8. Can’t tell if this is sarcasm or your honest thoughts, but I can say that I don’t think he bought her career. I don’t even think it’s possible to do that, even for someone richer than him. Anyway, none of that old gossip is really relevant to my question.
