    Björk

I really want to get into björk -- what songs do you guys recommend
  2. just think pretty ethereal string instruments + hip hop beats
  3. she likes seeing us suffer tbh
  4. in retrospect, The Other Woman doesn't fit UV either, yet Lana made it work.
  5. I have a feeling this will be Lana's most critically acclaimed era considering HM is just an album opener and got so much acclaim from contemporary critics.
  6. I'm speculating that it will either be a song or an interlude w/ instrumental. She has writing credits so she's clearly splicing her own words with the poem; other than that it's mystery along with everything else from this era.

    Frank Ocean

so is boys don't cry coming next Friday or...
  8. she wouldn't have to register it; she would just need permission from his camp to use it registering is like copyrighting a certain song
  9. she's wearing a loose t-shirt that is flowing in the wind-- ofc she's going to look bigger, but even so, she still doesn't look "chubby."
  10. it means you are the elusive chanteuse
  11. we usually get a single 2 months before the album and the track list a month before, so we'll probably get the track list in August.

    Azealia Banks

    well they are best friends

    Azealia Banks

I feel like the reason it feels like Azealia delays her music is because she announces her projects soon after she starts them and gives herself unrealistic dates to finish.
  14. and she said HM reflects the beginning and end of the record so maybe the records starts out slow but gradually picks up tempo as you go down the track list
  15. Vocal Classification: Mezzo-Soprano/Soprano Vocal Fach: Dugazon Lowest note: Bb2 (Off To the Races) Highest belt: F5 (Tired of Singing the Blues) Highest note: D6 (Cola) Exclamations: Eb6 (Kinda Outta Luck) Longest note: 26 seconds (Heart-shaped Box [live])
  16. She said HM was the first track, but then started talking about she finds it weird when how a record begins and ends edit: this entire time I was reading: "in some ways I find it weird how a record begins and ends," instead of "where the record begins and ends"
  17. I don't think she ever mentioned anything about HM being the closing track, but that would be cool if it were reinvented to close the album
  18. I knew what they were referencing, but, like you said, scatting is vocal improvisation, while ad-libbing is vocal impelishment and is usually used during vocal runs
