the Life Support instrumentals leaked in WAV. i'm p sure theyre not mixed correctly but whatever

They're slightly different mixes, but they still are okay. I was able to get some good acapellas, but there is still some residue / headphone bleed.

  2. def not coming anytime soon... she's barely in the writing stage of the film so obviously it will not come until 2023 or so. Next stage after this is conceptualizing the costumes - She was doing that for K-12 around Late 2017 - May 2018, alongside scouting for the locations and then filming finally proceeded in October 2018 so saying she did finish writing the film in about 3-4 months... she'd be working on costumes and fine-tuning the script until about November/December and hopefully filming could begin in spring 2022... If we're super lucky we might see the album and film release is spring/summer 2023.

I don't think so. Melanie hasn't written anything with this sound before.

Doesn't mean that she would never... After School was exploration of a darker sound like this.

Nice but You guys aren’t getting it lmao?

Think about people that are referenced in the songs / people who inspired the sound or visuals of each album / prominent figures from the eras the music inspired by not just adding fucking to song titles

thats what i was thinking aslkdjfg

Currently checking her BMI Rep. Seeing a few titles with more info than we had

    One (shortened from The One?)

Silence Says (written with Jeremy Dussolliet, same guy who helped on Sippy Cup)

Until Sunrise (worked with Reginald Perry)

Psycho Lovers was done with someone named Daniel Omelio. He also worked on Mistakes.

Her BMI is also only 68 songs? With several duplicates. I think she had a looooot of unreleased songs removed because songs such as unhappy meal, haunted, and paper cut which we have are not listed. Most of this information is listed as "reconciled" With a green check.

We knew all of this, and the song mentioned at the end were never registered to begin with. Daniel Omelio is Robopop

This is where they got the inspo for the fake title.

I think actually the other way around, Paper People was a rumored title since early 2018!

Thought on that AK snip? If it's fake I'd like to know what it actually is because I looooove it.

it's fake, as is about 99% of every other snippet that is sent here, always by you (no offense)

I actually did some digging in SoundCloud and found dreams. It's an old acoustic cover.

Oooh yeah, of the Fleetwood Mac song. I forgot about that

I would agree but I'm confused that she said that she did TJF in the midwest but announced way before that the album as White Hot Forever so I guess there was a track titled WHF and there are apparently the same song.

Well to be fair, the first time we saw Lana with Sean publicly (who the song seems to be about) was in September 2019, which is when his daughter confirmed them to be dating. Before then, Lana announced White Hot Forever as the record title the day NFR was released (aka August 30th, 2019), but if they had already been dating in September 2019, we don't know for sure when they first met/started seeing each other. If I remember correctly, Lana or Sean had said they'd known each other for 2 months before they started dating which could place it around June at the latest (that they met.) [yet we still don't know when they really began dating]

So this would mean that White Hot Forever was conceptualized from June 2019 (unconfirmed, could have been earlier) - August 2019...

The main problem with this is that during July and August, she was in Europe for some weeks, and I don't really see when she could've gone through the midwest if not during her NFR tour (where she obviously spent a lot of time in the mid-west) but then again, she wasn't seen for some weeks in June / July.

With Lana, it's so hard to compute dates of writing and recording. :crai:

    Just a random thought:

Since she reworked White Hot Forever into Tulsa Jesus Freak I think both songs must be inspired by a similiar thing. On the book signing she said she did Tulsa Jesus Freak in the midwest and there was a space to catch that lightening.  So I guess WHF was also about catching that lightening & feeling White Hot (Forever), she also seemed to be in a very good state of mind around the time she released NFR & probably that was when she made WHF.

In the midwest she felt this feeling again so I guess she changed some WHF lyrics to be about the midwest & probably about her partner at that time ( but we can ignore the latter lol). So I think WHF & TJF are sonically the same & TJF is a updated version of WHF if that makes sense. Anyways looking forward to it ( TJF) since it was nearly the title track / seems to be an "updated" version of it.

While I am sure there are obviously demos/versions under the title of "White Hot Forever," I don't think WHF was 'reworked' into TJF. More just the name was changed along the way, like Young and in Love into Love or Cinnamon into Cinnamon Girl. I'm guessing she decided to change the title when she picked a different song to be the title track.

I say this since we already know the chorus of Tulsa Jesus Freak still to be "White Hot Forever" repeated, probably leading to the conclusion that the song title was simply changed rather than a full rework or update.

it's weird because I think this is going to be one of her best albums and the sound it seems to have really gets to me but at the same time I have a hard time getting excited because it just doesn't feel like an era :bebe: she doesn't give a fuck about anything and everything is so desert-like that I sort of get the feeling that what is going to come in 11 days isn't an album, but rather a bunch of unleaked songs? like, when unleaked songs we've been craving for for a long time leak, we're all so excited and we have a lot of new material to listen to, BUT nothing happens on Lana's part, for the reason that she's not behind the leaks. it kinda feels like this is what is happening right now

The way you put what I felt in words... I couldn't understand why I wasn't excited but this is it. And unlike when songs leak (with no snippets or teasing beforehand) we actually know when its coming and have for a while now, so it doesn't feel as... spontaneous. More like the usual teasing of songs we deal with without Lana's involvement.

It will feel cool on the day of, but I'm afraid that I might feel "over" the album within a week, as I do with leaks. Sure they're fun to listen to sometimes, but...

This! <3 I also am surprised reading some comments here because I don’t think this perceived-lack-of-activity is irregular for Lana? It’s always been about the music and she’s always just put stuff out as she wants to without explaining it too much or getting too caught up in the “glossier” aspects of being a musician.

Oh yes, I definitely understand that. I appreciate both aspects, but at least with past eras it felt more like... Idk how to say it without seeming rude, but it felt like she at least cared a little bit more. I obviously have no place to say how Lana feels, but this one just feels like "Okay I'm releasing this just to release it" so far... I very much am happy that we are getting high budget music videos at least!

Also not to mention the songs released thus far are very different from each other in terms of how I personally liked them. To me, LMLYAW is her worst song in her discography and such a stain on everything Lana related, so thats making this album feel... meh to me already since I am going into it with a "Please don't sound like LMLYAW" attitude. Whereas Chemtrails is a very sweet song and my personal favorite title track from her, but I still have my doubts. I am not very into folk music and this is her folk album I guess, but I'm keeping an open mind as much as I can.

Right now it's just... "Oh it's almost March 19th, that's cool" vibe

My friend who lives in Turkey was listening to Honeymoon with the bot on Discord and heard what appears to be conversation between Lana and Rick as Lana overlays some backing vocals to the song? The conversation is not there on their Spotify app and it appears to only happen when streamed on Discord?

They played it for me on their Discord and I just recorded it with my phone. Wtf is this or is this not that crazy lol?

They mentioned that they think they heard it on another song from UV or LFL as well

    Help :raven:

This is from the Honeymoon music video, it could be on Spotify due to them having it in their Local Files which would replace the normal Spotify version! The guy is Francesco.
