maxthehitman 1,727 Posted February 3, 2020 That amazing coincidence of "The Dark Side of the Moon" and the "Wizard of OZ" film is purely a one in a billion coincidence. I have watched a few Pink Floyd interviews and all of the band members acknowledge they did NOT create the record to be synchronized with the film. It was just an amazing coincidence. I wonder who was the first person to ever discover this and the reasons why they did it ? LMAO It´s totally crazy to discover such a thing. The only thing I can remember are records sounding like a film, for a fictional film which never existed - Like a soundtrack to a mysterious story , which maybe one day , someone in Hollywood will make a film. A record that comes to mind is - Queensryche "Operation Mindcrime" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation:_Mindcrime I found this website - https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Macmusicman/albums_if_they_were_films_/ which asks people Albums if they were Films It has some very interesting things in it, including Lana Del Rey records. -------------------------------------------------------------------- edit I just remembered another record that sounds like as if it was made for a film, but there is no film for it. They are 2 records, The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds and the Beatles SGT.Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Back in the 1960s there was a war between bands to see which was better - The Beach Boys Vs. The Beatles. They were both great bands. When The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds came out, it blew everyone away with their new sound and special effects. This record was made when they had heard the Beatles - Rubber Soul, which at the time was also had a groundbreaking sound to it. The Beatles then heard the "Pet Sounds" record and were amazed, so they decided they could go one step forward and make something even better. And they made Sgt.Pepper´s album. Both of the records sound as if they were made for a film. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet_Sounds - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Pepper%27s_Lonely_Hearts_Club_Band 1 Quote -
Embach 21,690 Posted September 8, 2023 Honeymoon album is perfect for Angelina Jolie's movie By The Sea - aesthetically, thematically, sonically and the style & vibes overall. Both were released in 2015 too!
