It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon."
LanaCharts Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Spoiler White Dress is laced with crack it’s just as addictive as COCC 5

Whitemustang Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Spoiler My rating for each track after two days listening to it ? White Dress 5/5 COCC 5/5 TJF 5/5 LMLYLAW 3/5 Wild at heart 4/5 Dark but just a game 5/5 Not all who wonder are lost 4/5 Yosemite 4/5 Breaking up slowly 2/5 Dance til we die 3/5 For Free 4/5 Overall not a radio friendly album at all, more experimental and not polished at all. Most songs are less instant than NFR . Lyrics are more simplistic but a nice evolution from previous albums... not as good as NFR though. Sound wise I would say she has gone a bit folky/country but it’s still 100% her. My rating of her albums: NFR>Ultraviolence>Honeymoon>Lust For Life > Paradise > Born to Die
venicesnitch Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Spoiler This album may be her best yet. It reminds me of 90's/ early 2000's radiohead from what I've heard. Those muffled guitars and haunting pianos are unforgettable Breaking up slowly killed me. Tulsa tiddy freak revived me. She snapped. I'm saving some songs for release day for extra added serotonin and to cure my Spring sadness (or make me even sadder). So far it definitely joins HM and UV level. I believe UV = HM = COCC NFR BTD + P LFL (sorry I love her it's just not as cohesive as any of her other projects) Also I'm new here so please be nice :(( 9 You should come over
Ultra Violet Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Even tho the "high" vocals in white dress hurt my ears, and it's not even in the better half of the album imo, I'm glad it was chosen for the next video. It just makes sense and I can't see any other video working and meaning so much. I think I'll cry. I don't even care about visuals for once. I just want the story and I wanna see Lana connect back to her 19yo self. 1

Ultra Violet Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 so I'm assuming this has already been discussed but, now I'm disliking the album cover even more. Chemtrails has no connection to any other song on the album, so it just seems like the poorest choice she's ever made for the art. Even the NFR cover connected to multiple songs. I can't wait to repeat the hell out of this album once it's on Spotify but I won't wanna be looking at my screen Also, I definitely get what she meant about not being sure of this album, so maybe I'll be thinking of it as a project to get her back on track towards singing about what she wants. Seems to have worked! 3
venicesnitch Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Thank yall for the warm welcomes I've been watching the meltdowns here since last Summer and I decided it's time to join in. This is the 5th lana album I've watched launch so it felt appropriate to finally join Lanaboards I'm so excited to get my HMV exclusive cover and yellow indie record store vinyls :(((( this album gives me serious UV nostalgia, that era is unforgettable 11 You should come over
DCooper Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Spoiler My theory on Dealer is that after she got back into the studio with Zach for the covers album she realized that Dealer was going to shape the sound of the next record, so she saved it for the instant rock classic that's coming next. 24
