Oof I was really starting to like the cover of this album until I got the vinyl. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the photo is very high contrast black and white and the way the cover is pressed... the two darker-skinned women are almost completely in shadow... not a great look.

ok so i watched the movie a few nights ago and it's really about a young boy looking back at his childhood and how rich it was in terms of love/family etc– which i think, in yosemite, reminded lana of this person in her life who had a brutal/rough upbringing. also there is a lot of looking back at the past on COCC, so it makes sense to me that that movie gets pulled in since it's so much a recollection of youth.

I remember watching How Green Was My Valley. Then I was thinking: "How deep was the canyon that you came from?". Television static was quite overwhelming. Was it because of the cabin and the candles in the wind?
