You could just let the tied songs represent different positions in the chart so it's not so huge.

I've decided to add up the votes for different versions of songs.

I will still display the individual version's vote counts too, though.

 

But... yes, you can vote for two versions if you want. A few people have.

 

You should only allow that amount of points per person.

 

Say I voted Lolita 15 points and Lolita V2 14 points. Then you should only count my highest vote, otherwise songs with multiple versions have an unfair advantage.

When I went to tally the votes, no one voted for multiple versions of songs anyway so I guess that rule didn't really need to be there after all!
