Every time I hear..

I know that I dreamed about it all my life
Then the dream got closer

It hits like a gut punchΒ

Baby you know mama never had much money
But I plan on using this face to pay, honey

All roads that lead to you as integral to me as arteries

That pump the blood that flows straight to the heart of me

America, America

I can't sleep at home tonight, send me a Hilton Hotel

Or a cross on the hill, I'm a lost little girl...

:crying:

My favorite Lana lyrics ever:

It's the voodoo, Mississippi south
Sixty-nine million stars
Birds are flyin' out of my mouth
Spirits creepin' in my yard
Hold my head, it's tiltin' back
Somethin' dancin' me around
Puttin' crystals on my neck
Liftin' my feet off the ground
The ground

Β

I’ve always loved these lyrics. To me these are the most underrated lyrics and her most underrated song, Raise Me Up. I love it when she talked about unorthodox and different topics, particularly in this song the β€œvoodoo” of the south.Β It comes across somewhat beautiful in the context of this song and AKA album.

I’ve always felt the same way about this song and these lyrics but could never put it into words! Amazing comment.Β :gclap:
