People always say they want Rick back as if the last songs they worked on together isn’t Bartender and the piano only Happiness Is A Butterfly demo (all the snippets she posted were piano only and once Jack got involved he added the light guitars) 

 

I feel like “we want (x) back!!” Stems from a general unhappiness of the style of music Lana is releasing, which is all Lana’s decision. It wouldn’t matter who she worked with if what she wants to create are stripped back songs. Just look at WFWF, she employed synth god Mike Dean for a piano ballad.

even with Rick we would still getting piano/acoustic songs. almost all songs recorded with him after LFL seems to be NFR/early UV-soundscape.
