I don’t mind when the girls have songs that sound the same since they all worked with Jack, or if they were possibly inspired by another artist. However, Lorde shouldn’t get inspired by Lana when it comes to promo

there is definitely promo happening but the problem is that it's not enough to sustain attention between solar power, which everyone was talking about for a couple weeks after it was released, and the album. it seems like she's compensating for no social media by appearing on popular youtube shows, but the promo overall still feels disjointed somehow. i know she's aiming for quality over quantity, but artists can do that and still have a functioning album rollout.
