Deleted User 1,353 Posted March 2, 2014 Found her out blogging for music ages ago, when Marry Me was released. She captivated me with "All My Stars Aligned"... Marrow was an all-time favorite, but Strange Mercy is the best thing she ever did, and maybe the best thing she'll ever do.I was SO pumped for the new album when I listened to Birth in Reverse and Digital Witness... But the rest of the album is not breath-taking as those two songs.Love her new aesthetics. But Strange Mercy was just... Compelling. She's one of the best musicians I know of.

I just started listening to Strange Mercy and omg it's great "Cruel" and "Cheerleader" are awesome especially instrumentally, and I LOVE how chill the title track feels.

Off St. Vincent, these are the best: Rattlesnake Prince Johnny Del Rio Huey Newton Psychopath Digital Witness I've listened to her EVERYTHING. Collab EP and Album with Byrne, her work for films, a demo EP she recorded really early... I just LOVE her. My favorite album is Strange Mercy, from which my fav tracks are Champagne Year, Strange Mercy, Neutered Fruit, Dilettante.... But basically the whole album charms me from beginning to end. Actor is the album which made me fall for her with songs like Just The Same (But Brand New), The Party, The Bed and The Strangers, but yet again. the whole album really enthralls me. Yet, from Marry Me I just REALLY love All My Stars Aligned, and the rest of the record didn't really blow my mind. Have you listened to her live sessions and Krokodyl? I have all her bonus tracks, rarities and stuff. I just... I'm glad this thread was created lol. I wanted to introduce her here but I wouldn't ever finish extending my speech.

I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessing over her right now!! I've LOVED her collaboration w/ Bon Iver "Roslyn" and have kind of ignored having "The Antidote" (both from the Twilight soundtracks) for a while, but diving into the new record, especially hearing "Rattlesnake" made me super interested and a fan. I need to listen to Krokodyl next!!

National Anthem 9,904 Posted March 12, 2014 Sure, here you go! <3 http://imageshack.com/a/img22/3109/tihl.jpg THANK YOU I looked into "Krokodil" / "Grot" and idk I wasn't really feeling it... I think for now I'm just going to focus on making my way through her 4 main studio albums. Everything I've heard/previewed so far from those sounds incredible I really dug into the lyrics on St. Vincent last night and it really gave me such a great and improved insight on the whole theme of each song and the album overall. Gosh, Annie is SUCH a phenomenal lyricist. Like probably one of, if not the best, in my whole library. Her songs are so smart, and I love that. I'll be surprised if after I've really dug deep into the rest of her work, her newest self-titled record isn't still my favorite. Also would you be willing to share "Bang Bang" here?
