whitman 1,287 Posted September 5, 2015 Metacritic published their fall music preview and Honeymoon is in it! "Critics felt that the pop star's 2014 effort Ultraviolence was a step up in quality from her major-label debut Born to Die. Can she make a similar leap with her third album? If so, it will be with a slightly different lineup of producers; Dan Auerbach doesn't return, but Dan Heath and Rick Nowels (among others) do. The resulting 14-track Honeymoonincludes a cover of Nina Simone’s "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood," and it comes with its own hotline (1-800-268-7886) which will be updated with new information prior to the album's release." http://www.metacritic.com/feature/fall-music-preview-2015 Rick is the only one producing, right?

Yeah, Dan is not involved. Producers are Lana, Rick, Kieron for each track.
whitman 1,287 Posted September 5, 2015 Yeah, Dan is not involved. Producers are Lana, Rick, Kieron for each track. Yeah, but they mentioned "among others" producers are returning so I was confused. Do you know if this Kieron already worked with her before?
ilovetati 15,299 Posted September 5, 2015 Yeah, but they mentioned "among others" producers are returning so I was confused. Do you know if this Kieron already worked with her before? With sound engineering, yes. He has never produced a track for her, though.

FutureRetro 295 Posted September 5, 2015 This album will be her most successful commercially for sure. Her streaming power has somewhat returned this era. HBTB has almost 17 millions views and has stayed on the charts for more than three weeks. (A new record for her) But it will be panned critically. Probably lower than Born To Die. Music To Watch Boys To will probably have even more views due to the male models.

FutureRetro 295 Posted September 5, 2015 not on spotify... and the youtube views for TLY is pretty low for her... Yes on Spotify. And yes for TLY too. Even if High didn't exist, TLY is still good for her considering she needed a whole year to reach 7 - 10 million views for UV tracks. Her streaming power was HUGE at around 2011. VG, BTD had massive views. Remember them views weren't as big as now. BTD video in particular had an insane amount views in a short time. It had 25 millions by the time album was released in 2012. Back then it was pretty huge like Katy Perry, Taylor huge. It went downhill ever since tropico. Then UV came around and it took a massive hit. I have no idea why. Bizarre and unfortunate that the charts now include streaming. All of BTD would have charted based on streaming alone.
FutureRetro 295 Posted September 5, 2015 I genuinely think Tropico is a curse. Her streaming power vanished after that. Her cinematic videos also faded away with it too. She started to get fat around that time too.

FutureRetro 295 Posted September 5, 2015 how was she ever fat Have you seen the BTS pics? She's not really fat yet but getting there. Before Tropico: Tropico: After Tropico (UV) Notice how not only weight changes but her style in general.

Bizarre and unfortunate that the charts now include streaming. All of BTD would have charted based on streaming alone. I mean UV (audio) generated 6M views in one month and even SOC (audio), which got outshone by its video, had 4.5M views in one month while TYL only has 2.3M views as of now and don't even bring up UV vid pls (it's too tragic for comparison). even combining the noisy one (9.7M + 2.7M), the audio still has more views (12.1M) then it. but i think that kinda explains that the quality/appeal of the vid will affect the views of the vid seeing how people would prefer the audio version more than the video version. which is strange since mostly videos have more views than the audio ver. another example is the west coast vid and audio.. i remember the vid has been always inferior to the audio in term of views until this summer...
