Yeah its a common misconception mostly by english speakers (specifically Americans). I had been saying it wrong up until I found that out earlier this year. I still kinda chuckle every time I hear someone say it right because it sounds like a really intense lisp.

Ibiza is correctly pronounced like iBeetha, all brits/Europeans say it that way. Eh-beeza is the incorrect pronounciation. Thank Kat Deluna, JLo/pitbull for pronouncing it wrong so it could rhyme with africa/afreeka
