forensicflowergirl 99 Posted July 13 I hope we don't have to wait until the end of the year/early next year to get the Chaps record...but I feel like that is what is going to happen...

I’ve heard she’s done video games covers there but i haven’t seen any videos I just saw them tonight! They were incredible. Zella’s voice is always so ~hypnotic~ and sounds great with Jesse’s! Yes, they do a cover of Video Games! I was front and center at the show tonight (my friend and I got there like 5 minutes after doors so we were the first ones inside) and before they performed the cover, Zella pointed at me and said “this next song is for you, girl!” I’m not sure if she’s recognised me from meeting her at past shows / seeing me on Instagram, or if she just took notice of my LDR phone case loool but it was a cute little shoutout and their rendition is amazing. They of course sang Sex & Rage and Bleeding Hearts (twice), did Zella’s song Girls, and Jesse’s song Sandy Band-Aids. Aside from Video Games, they also did covers of Whitney’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody and George Jones & Tammy Wynette’s duet of Take Me. I think the rest of their setlist were songs from their upcoming album, which Zella told me is currently slated for late spring/early summer after the show. I actually grabbed their setlist after the show, and the other titles listed on there were Devil’s Music, Inside the Lines, All Things Considered, Heartbroke Holiday, Baby Jesus, Love is Hot, Diamonds Cashing Checks, and Bad Lovin’. The set was 70 minutes - 14 songs + 2 songs for the encore, which were the Take Me cover and an acoustic version of Bleeding Hearts, which they had also done as their final song with the full band. Overall, it was a great show. Beautiful & intimate. Definitely would recommend catching them if they come to your area! x Edit: I just found this video of their full performance from a festival earlier this month that includes all of the unreleased songs if you want an example of what they sound like! As of now, Heartbroke Holiday and Inside the Lines are the ones I’m most excited for to be released! x 0 Quote • 4.18.14 • 5.1.14 • 9.20.14 • 5.28.15 • 6.14.15 • 7.28.16 • 7.24.17 • 10.23.17 • 10.24.17 • 1.25.18 • 2.5.18 • 12.5.18 • 10.3.19 • 10.11.19 • 11.16.19 • SF • ATL • ATL • IND • ATL • CHI • LDN • NYC • NYC • DC • ATL • NYC • PDX • SAN • KS
