I read a book recently and it said this: "if you ran from the Big Bad Wolf too long (I.e talent agent, producer), he might get tired of the chase and move on. After all this was Hollywood. If one Little Red Riding Hood slipped out of the wolf's grasp, there was always another coming down the path, brighter and younger and tastier than the one who came before."

 

So I think that quote exemplifies the general idea of the song.

Yeah I think so too..this book has been really helpful..it's set in the 1930s and is helping me understand a lot of her songs!
