Ben 42 Posted October 13, 2012 I've read many comments of people complaining about the audio quality in the Ride video, and I couldn't do anything about the monologue seeing as that's exclusive to the video, but I replaced the song audio so it doesn't have the lq mp3/artifact-y sound to it. It's matched perfectly with the old audio, so don't worry, the timing between the video and the audio is spot-on. The file I used was a 320 kbps AAC rip from the lossless version of Ride. Some said the iTunes version sounded blown-out and sandy, so I used this instead of the i+ rip to avoid that. Obviously in exporting the bit rate is messed with a bit, but this version sounds leagues better. No longer like a 96 kbps web stream or something. Long story short, I replaced the low-quality sounding audio in the Ride video with a better quality version. The monologue hasn't been touched as no higher-quality version exists. "This is not "old sounding," just terrible mp3 quality. Why are so many of her videos like this, i wonder. What a disservice to her work." "WHY WAS THE AUDIO SO BAD?" Frankly, the audio quality doesn't bother me much, but it's likely not intentional because it doesn't really have an old sound to it, it just sounds like a lower quality web stream or something.
