PARADIXO 32,925 Posted December 30, 2015 HAPPY NEW YEAR! So, since I guess I won't be home tomorrow (Dec 31st), I'm doing this today! Let's recapitulate Lana's career this year... JANUARY We started the year with Lana covering the January issue of Grazia France, in which she says she's working on a new record with Mark Ronson. Days later, she announces Honeymoon as the official title of her fourth studio album. Lana Del Rey Q&A: On 'Big Eyes' & Her Upcoming 'Honeymoon' Album On January 19, her collaboration with Emile Kaynie "Wait for Life" is released as a promo single from this debut, We Fall. Also, she attends to the 72nd Golden Globes. FEBRUARY Lana appears on Billboard Magazine cover with Kanye West and Lucian Grainge, though the article is not about her. 2014's Ultraviolence went Gold in the United States (500,000 copies sold). MARCH The year continues to be slow and quiet for Lana fans, and the only thing she does this month is cover AnOther Man Magazine's 10th Anniversary Issue. APRIL The Age of Adaline's official trailer is out on YouTube, including a snippet of Lana's yet unreleased track "Life Is Beautiful". MAY The Endless Summer Tour, featuring Courtney Love and Grimes, kicks off in The Woodlands, Texas. Over 350,000 people attended to the absolutely sold-out North American tour. Merch was one of the most memorable things we got from it, since a lyrics book included "Honeymoon", which was unreleased at the time. JUNE The tour finishes in Miami with "Florida Kilos" being performed for the first time and a "Honeymoon" snippet. Lana turns 30. JULY "Honeymoon" is finally released on her personal YouTube account. The song gets almost 2 million views in 24 hours and tops Billboard Twitter Top Tracks chart. AUGUST This month, we got three new songs: Honeymoon's lead single "High By the Beach" (and its viral-for-a-day video), "Terrence Loves You" and her collaboration with The Weeknd "Prisoner", which debuted at No. 37 on Billboard Hot 100 without even being a single. SEPTEMBER "Music to Watch Boys To" is released as the second single and Honeymoon finally sees the light of the day on September 18, debuting at No. 2 on Billboard 200 (No.1 on Top Albums Chart) with 116,000 copies (260,000+ worldwide). Lana covers V Magazine featuring pictures shot by Steven Klein. "Music to Watch Boys To" video is released at the end of the month. In order to "promote" Honeymoon, Lana does a BBC session and signings in London, New York and Los Angeles. OCTOBER Lana covers Billboard Magazine and wins Best Alternative at the EMAs. NOVEMBER Her version of "Some Things Last a Long Time" is released as the soundtrack to Daniel Johnston's Hi, How Are You?. DECEMBER Lana closes the year accepting her Trailblazer award at Billboard's Women In Music event.
