It's the acoustic guitar, the register she's singing in, the country vibe, and the general uplifting mood. 

 

It's not on-the-nose similarity. But if Tough was the next song on the album right after Henry, it would flow super smoothly. Like, same DNA. Only Henry is the Mariner's of the album, and Tough is the Doin' Time.

if anything, the melody of the chorus in Henry reminds me of Brooklyn Baby. 

 

for me, the bridge in tough is more reminiscent of parts of The Greatest or Dark but just a game.

It already grew on me even more, it feels like a very classic Lana song. Kinda like something that would leak, in the vein of Wild One. Definitely not Ocean Blvd/BB vibes, the focus here is on succint but profound lyricism and melody, Ocean was more diaristic. I was not excited for this record before this. Now I definitely am. 13 tracks is actually perfect. If they keep up this quality, it's gonna be a 8.7+ pitchfork career highlight! Yup.
