maysparkle Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I just love this song so much. I remember in some interview a million years ago she said she liked the song Once Upon a Time in the West by Ennio Morricone and though Henry is a very different vibe, it still reminds me of it with the strings. I’m just so damn impressed. I really do feel like it’s a return to form after a song like Arcadia. Though I did adore Ocean Blvd (especially Candy Necklace), Henry just feels nostalgic and beautiful 2 Quote The Log Lady [to Laura]: “When this kind of fire starts, it is very hard to put out. The tender boughs of innocence burn first, and the wind rises, and then all goodness is in jeopardy.”

The Pitchfork music critics don't have to give BNT to a song every week. There have been one-month gaps, too. They can also give BNT to more than one track in a single week. Take a look at these stats: BEST NEW TRACK "SPANK!" (September 23) - one month gap - "Legs in the Air" (October 23) "JRJRJR" (January 3) "Lo que le pasó a Hawaii" (January 9) "It's Mirror" (January 15) "pop" (January 31) "Reframing" (February 7) "Sickle Walk" (February 10) "Easter Pink" (February 13) "Cinderella" (February 25) "To Be A Rose" (February 25) - two tracks getting BNT on the same day - "Bring It" (February 27) "Special Request to All Nice and Decent Real Niggaz" (March 10) "This Is Real" (March 12) "Dancing in the Club" (March 25) - 17-day gap between "Dancing in the Club" and "Henry, come on" - "Henry, come on" (April 11) 6 Quote
blueskiesforever Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Watched a couple of reaction videos on YT last night, and they all LOVED the song. Watching them get the biggest grin on their faces when the chorus kicks in made my night. It’s perfect. 8 Quote So if you don't know, don't give up , 'Cause you never know what the new day might bring

Its actually doing really good on tik too lmfao!! It has like 8k videos under it. Who would've expected, a few months back, that Henry would smash and get a BNM from pitchfork 8 Quote
Jeanne Dielman Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago #10 in the USA is kinda huge, isn't it? I hope that the Saturday drop won't be big. Imagine the numbers had she released a MV and properly promoted it, lmao. And, yes, the song has been overperforming both critically and commercially! 11 Quote

racecar Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago this song is so good, so chilly in a very good way, reminds me more of NFR!, because of it's rich production, I don't get why insiders said that this single is boring... on replay since yesterday HENRY, COME ON! 11 Quote

Gothicula Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago The universe sending me a new situationship so I can fully immerse myself... Now I just need to befriend his mom and have him abandon me in circa a month. Come on and giddy up and then I'll write a very chic intertextual LenaDunham-esque essay about it all titled " Henry never came -- he had erectile dysfunction." 5 Quote
