I'm pretty OCD myself but the way I have itset up is super pleasing to me haha.

Also the album is super great. Is it weird that "Black Lake" doesn't feel 10 minutes long at all?? Also "Stonemilker" is a big standout. The production there is so excellent. Overall it's beyond amazing and I don't regret listening to the leak. I think the final will be slightly different and at the least better quality, and with the official cover attached it will be like a brand new experience anyway.

Out Alive is so Britney but it's so good. I got told it was generic trash when it first came out so I'm glad people have come to their senses 2 years later

I remember I thought Warrior was my favourite Kesha album when it was released but I was wrong. Even though I love the songs there, they're not nearly as memorable as the ones on Animal.

Not to mention that I listen to Kesha's unreleased music a lot more frequently than any of the songs she's put on albums. They give me incredible vibes, like a mix of summer and having nothing to do and just chilling out and etc.

Animal is an AMAZING pop record; one of my favorites of all time.

Your argument doesn't make much sense to me. Not being able to enjoy a song without it being performed live is kind of ridiculous. There are many artists out there that only release their music without going on as many TV shows as possible or even touring. Except Lana still does tour, so you have live versions of the songs lol. It doesn't reflect how much an artist cares about their music when they don't "promote" it. You're all stuck in stan world/shallow logic. I'm not saying you aren't real fans, but you obviously just said you can't enjoy her music or artistry without some type of promo. Speaks for itself.

Just because Lana isn't playing every instrument on her records doesn't mean she isn't a musician. Writing good melodies, lyrics, and singing all take incredible talent. So yes, enjoy the music.

    You have such narrow vision.

OK. Huge difference between "UV is an amazing quality piece of work! :)" and directly responding to someone who's pleasantly appreciating something they love w a "UV has no quality"

Like girl for real you've been so rude in this thread.

No one who's praising the album needs to be preached to because they're simply appreciating something they like. The problem was that someone was simply talking about an album they like and you made an ugly rude response to them basically saying it's trash, and then bitching at anyone who called you out by saying they're not letting you speak your mind. Yet you were the first person criticizing someone for giving THEIR opinion on UV.

Looking at "Warrior" 2 years later, honestly I find it depressing how messed the era was. The music wasn't all that good, "Die Young" as a first single was the safest decision ever and the song couldn't get anymore basic for pop, while "Supernatural" was ahead of its time but was paid dust. I remember the snippet having more hype than the whole album and Crazy Kids wasn't promoted enough and had an awful video for such a good song. Hopefully 2015 will give Ke$ha a better oppurtunity to realize a proper era.

    Are you referring to me?
For one thing, the whole reason this argument started was when you insisted UV was "Not that great of an album"
In a thread not at all related to UV

You said this after @@ilovetati said something about wishing for an era with the musical style of UV with the aesthetic style of BTD (big budget videos, etc.)
In short, you took a post both relevant to the thread's subject and respectful of all other opinions, and replied with a rude statement about something entirely subjective.

I was offended by your insinuation that an album I liked was bad, especially considering the inappropriate venue you choose to express this opinion (this is the HONEYMOON thread)
And so I replied by saying that as someone that likes that LP I thought your post was annoying and irrelevant. I was hoping that the discussion would end there. Apparently you're too stubborn to admit that as the individual that instigated this irrelevant discussion it's your responsibility to acknowledge what you said was offensive and unnecessary.

Surprisingly enough, I'm a fan of BTD too, I was a member of this forum before UV came out, I just prefer UV because I find it a more consistent record. I didn't feel the need to mention my opinion in this thread until you started spouting off about how UV was a bad album. In the context of this thread this makes as much sense as me mentioning my aversion to Lady GaGa. More then that, it's like me saying that Lady GaGa is a bad artist and that her music is tasteless when I'm aware there are many fans of her music reading this thread right now.

I like UV, you prefer BTD. THIS IS THE HONEYMOON THREAD

okay so in the absence of any unreleased volumes from Sitar, i decided to try to create some myself...i grouped by themes more so than by sound & the track order is kinda meh (cause i'm not good at stuff like that lol). the covers are all ones from coverlandia that i edited to remove the titles. the volume names are iffy too but idrc

so first we have Volume I: Discotheque. these are the party/having a good time songs that we know ke$ha for

Volume II: Want U Bad is the happy-relationship Ke$ha stuff, all sun-shining and birds singing

Volume III: Cherry Pop. sexual, saucy and seductive. do the nasty to it.

Volume IV: Disgusting is Ke$ha still in love with her bf/gf, but feeling kinda pissy at the same time. im not a great fan of this volume cause it's not as cohesive as the others imo.

Volume V: Feels Like Rain. my favourite volume & the saddest one. this is the vulnerable side to K$ that the public rarely see. some of these tracks could possibly also work on Volume IV (I Hate You, Dead Flowers).

Volume VI: Revenge. now, you know Ke$ha, she ain't the type to be crying around over some stupid boy/girl for too long. this is the album to tear out boys'/girls' hearts to.

Volume VII: Child of the Moon is the one for extras that didn't really fit in the other categories, or were too "unfinished" imo. it's also got some Warrior outtakes that i PRAY she uses for the next album.

This really sounds like you're implying that anyone who likes UV is just blindly worshiping Lana...In addition to shooting down others' opinions while saying how they should value yours. How aren't you seeing how this could be insulting

Lana's switch between her falsetto to chest/head is one of the most impressive in the business. Not many girls can do it so swiftly except of the queen of vocals that is Mariah. (forgot about Ariana she too can do it and Leona but she's irrelevant)

Don't forget her amazing smoky low notes.

Someone mentioned Mildred cover of Summertime Sadness. Lord! She literally has no falsetto and all chest.   She didn't even attempt it.. all one range mess. All she did is sing in ONE range and add volume whenever needed to have more power when she should be switching to falsetto esp during the bridge of SS. Atrocious really.

GURL. Katy, Miley, Tayloose better Lana live   Kill yourself please.

Ok they may have better stage production plus dancers and back track (back Up singers)..FLASHY...ALL SMOKES AND MIRRORS.

Lana destroys every single one of them with her LIVE vocals.

And that's fine, but it works both ways. You shouldn't make a general, definitive statement like "UV isn't high quality" when many fans feel very differently about it.
