  1. I really love You Must Love Me, and I think the album could go in that direction: stripped down, showcasing her voice.

    For pretty much each new record, she released a track prior to it that was almost like a preview of what we were up to, sonically:

    - before Paradise, we got Young and Beautiful and that EP was melodic and cinematic as well;

    - before UV, we got the dark Once Upon a Dream;

    - before HM, we got the soothing Big Eyes and I Can Fly;

    I am not quite sure what track before LFL was the «preview»... Stargirl Interlude?!?!??? Is it even close to LFL? Or maybe this album is just so peculiar that nothing could preview it lol.

    I just hope You Must Love Me is the «preview» to LDR6. (wouldn't mind if Blue Madonna was an indicator to what we could get, but I am only dreaming here lol)

    young and beautiful actually came after paradise but that's only because it was chosen for the great Gatsby, it was actually meant to be a track on paradise

  2. The fact that she said "watch out for new music" sounds more as if something is coming very very soon. Why else would she say watch out when she could've just said "new music coming soon"

    what she means means VERY soon? Like new single coming Friday 12 AM? Do you remember when she said Shades video coming soon and then it released 2 hours later :creep:

  3. Am I the only one who loves the direction of LDR6, RBFY sounds so ethereal and dreamy I love when she adds background vocals like that :crying:

    Tbh we don't even know what direction we're going right now, if I had to guess it'd be an album with a few ballads, a few acoustic (dare I say folk? :creep:) songs and maybe whatever jack Antonoff and her made if Lana decides those make the cut

    I'm excited for an actual happier direction in her lyrics, if done right, of course. I want her to deliver more songs about freedom, or with that kind of heavenly production. Her discography needs more songs like Bel Air  :defeated:

    This is pretty much my dream album: a few sweet piano ballads like Bel air with light production. And like you said happier songs like get free and RBF. Have the majority of the songs have cinematic production like her soundtracks, Mixed with a few bangers produced by Tim lacarcombe, but still cinematic esque so it stays cohesive.

    Have the whole album produced by Tim Lacarcombe, Daniel Heath and additional production from someone like Dan auerbach

  5. Terrence you know our gay asses will hype this up and on April 20 we're going to be live streaming that show and refreshing her social media waiting for the announcement that will never come . leaving our hearts TORN and dry with LB filled with meltdowns and anger at how unprofessional and boring this era is already.

    omg do you remember when we were hyped for news on the last festival date of the festival tour in 2016 and then nothing happened? We were mad even tho nothing suggested it, and history is about to repeat itself lmao

  6. The LFL singles (except for Love) were not the best and I hope the next era does a better job with that. UV had far superior singles.

    the singles for Lana are always the songs that are more commercial that will attract people to her music (this is something that Lana said in an interview btw) and I think LFL era did pretty good at that, all of them are very commercial. Unless your talking about music videos, then I agree, white shouldve been one of the last songs to get a music video cause in Lana's world singles aren't the same as music videos, summer bummer was a single and didn't get a video whereas white mustang wasn't a single but got a video

  7. So I've been thinking about Lana's aesthetics and visual style throughout each era and she never fails to deliver something both stimulating and new. It's one of the most exciting things about a new album.

    I haven't really put much thought into what I think LDR6 will be aesthetically, but I conjured up a little mood board of what I would like LDR6 to be like.

    As you can see, it's mainly red. LFL was mainly blue/turquoise. I feel like this color would be a nice change. Also the images remind me a little of B horror movies, so something kinda dark and twisted with that vintage feel Lana usually goes for.

    Of course, Lana is in a happier place so I doubt she'd go for this kind of aesthetic unless she's in a darker mood but it's just a thought.

    Her last to the Moon tour outfits have really been suggesting this aethetic and cherry really goes with it maybe she can dive more into that sound, mixing dark ultraviolence vibes with loud strings and vintage sexy visuals and vocals

    Although happiness is a butterfly totally contradicts this, maybe that song could be a deep cut like change or something? I really hope she does something like this...

  8. this is true. every song that plays on the radio now was already getting huge streaming numbers on Spotify, Apple music and youtube

    like New Rules by Dua Lipa (which radio aired really late...its been a hit aready)

    or this annoying song thats on every meme has been on the internet for months but it just started airing on the radio like 3 weeks ago

    Yes this is true radio nowadays instead of making songs hits the radio just plays songs that have already become hits, like radio picked up Camila's Havana after it entered the top 10 I think!

    Lana already has great streaming considering that she's never added to the big playlists and if she was there are many songs of LFL that would've been streaming hits, Love LFL, groupie love, sumemr bummer, the gp would've eaten these songs up! Is it the label that gets Spotify to put the songs in the popular playlists or does Spotify just choose them?

  9. Am I the only one who really doesn’t care about music videos? Yeah her earlier ones were really dope as was Tropico. But they just don’t do it for me. I dont have the patience to watch anybody’s but Lana’s.

    Also I think her BTD videos were so amazing because she worked on the record for so long and had so many ideas and thoughts about the album visuals pre-fame she couldn’t obviously do without a label. Once she had the resources she did everything she wanted to do and now it’s more about the music? Idk

    I think when Lana has good ideas for a video she ends up cancelling them because they might cause contreversy, like the allegedly cancelled ultraviolence video

    I do think Lana's videos are still great though, the Love video was amazing and Honeymoon's videos might've been very low key but I think they were fitting. Ultraviolence's videos are also underrated, I love the west coast video so much, but yea her BTD/paradise era videos were alot more creative

  10. go compare the hip hop beats in btd and lfl. btd’s are lush, energetic, and beautiful. lfl’s are generic, cheap, sound like garage band, and make her music lose its vintage flare

    that's what people thought of BTD back then too, Lana basically did the same thing again (combine her sound with the current style of hip hop beats which is currently trap). The only songs where the beats are annoying are Coachella and in my feelings. The beats are great in cherry, summer bummer and groupie love.
