  1. Omfg. Melodrama was amazing but Jack × Lana eh. She should work with Greg Kurstin again :awkney:

Im very excited to see what would come out of it!

Does Antonoff usually only makes a pop sound or is he more diverse than that? Cause he has produced alot of pop albums lately melodrama, reputation, beautiful truama

  2. noo I really don't want Lana to stop doing big eras. (Although LFL wasn't even that big of an era it had no promo it only had good budget videos lmao) she should keep doing big eras so no one forgets about legend Del Rey and will always be remembered as the bitch with her first album always in the BB 200.

Also I was thinking what if we had a summertime sadness remix fiasco part 2. Before y'all yell at me, this time without cedric grevais and instead with Lana choosing the type of remix, and then have it sent to radios and do a second video for the song. I created a really cheesy concept earlier for love, the remix would be called disco on the moon remix :creep: , and would be upbeat and have a disco inspired sound. The video would be on the same moon set of the Love video but instead have a party on it with Lana dancing in the middle of it

  3. I wish, this would've been a great tracklist, especially without the beats in GBA and Groupie Love IMO

GBA and Groupie Love's production is absolutely flawless for me, I wouldn't change a thing about their production.

Also am I the only one who actually loves this album? I mean it's not flawless, some songs are lacking on the production side but this album has so many gems that will go down as classics in Lana's discography, like Love, Heroin, Get Free, Cherry, and Groupie Love

  4. I still strongly feel that so much can be done with this album. It's a solid anthology of where she is now, and even if you can't agree how whether or not the album is as cohesive or compares to something that even could've just been, the music on it's got variety for a purpose. To gain a stronger, wider demographic, while trying to keep her fans happy.

I remember her mentioning how this record, for the first time was specifically for us, as she was writing it and talking about it in interviews. I think it did it's job, and reflects how the social scope of U.S. is through her.

The only problem is that she hasn't really been fleshing out her art for us, for us to better vibe with, even more than she hasn't from previous albums. So I wonder what'll happen after Cherry.

.... and what the fanbase will make of it

I really appreciate this post because it makes the LFL era alot less messy for me, and what you said makes alot of sense. The way she talked about some of the songs did suggest that she's trying to expand her audience or atleast her label wants her to. Like with LFL (song) how it was supposed to be a hit with the extensive work they did on it, but what doesn't make sense is that there wasn't enough promo to back all of that . Like what is the point of going towards a commerical sound if you have no intention to make use of it. Some radio airplay and a few TV performances would've helped alot. I do think the features helped her out a bit, you would see in the comments of summer bummer, many people saying they came for ASAP but they became fans of Lana, same with LFL and the weeknd. And there wasn't any real decline in sales from the HM era. With that being said, the streams and sales were actually great for an album w no promo (imo), for example. the album sold similarly to Lorde's Melodrama which was her second album that had promo and LFL is Lana's fifth, also LFL was the first era since BTD/Young and beautiful to for a video to go over 100 million views.

But sales matter alot less than the quality of the album, and I think this album will go down as a classic in the alternative world as the era when Lana turned towards an optimistic mind space. What's nice about the messy aesthetic is that we don't get a boring album and it has a variety of sound.

  5. The name alone can't give clues of how the tracks sounds but I hope the production is kinda dark and a little futuristic, or maybe something more acoustic like A.K.A., same with Bartender.

Idk these two names (Bartender and Sylvia) give me late-night city vibes in their names, I'd be really happy if they're a similar to Oh Say Can You See  :flutter:

I thought the exact same about Sylvia sounding like oh say can you see, but for some reason bartender seems like an upbeat song to me

  6. I think theres a clear distinction between the music lana listens to and those she would actually consider a collab with,

but damn this is a great new way to listen to cherry. i was getting sick of the production of the original. thanks for posting  :flutter:

     (just found this too)

Like THIS is the production Cherry really deserved  :lanahairflip2:

IMO the current production is really great too, but it would be interesting if Lana experimented with a pop sound like that

  7. Wow Love is turning 1 soon. Was all the craziness from the pre-release threads already a year ago :defeated:

I remember everything was so exciting once the era kicked off with the Love posters. This era had alot of random surprises during the pre-release era, like when she randomly dropped the LFL album trailer, the Love Snapchat filter, or when it was announced only like 3 hours before that the LFL song was about to come out. I remember those things would make my day!

  8. I don't get how people can trash talk summer bummer??? "Doesn't belong on the album" lmao okay... same with LFL, Cherry, White Mustang and Groupie Love?

People seem to want to forget this is a Pop album

It's categorized as an alternative album everywhere lol. And summer bummer doesn't belong on it cause the production is very much different from the other songs and has hip hop artists on it so it's definitely not same with LFL, Cherry, WM, and GL. I guess Groupie love doesn't fit very well either but not as much as summer bummer cause the production blends in with the rest of the album. I don't think any of us are bashing summer bummer, I love the song, but it would fit better on something like a hip hop mixtape, or an album with similar production.

  9. forgot to express my concert experience in Houston , Texas , in reality i felt like my constant watching of Lana Del Rey live on youtube really spoiled my actual concert experience . i waited 13 hours and met lovely fans . the crowd was CRAZY and security was intense at how the crowd was running and being crazy . Kali Uchis was TO DIE FOR . all in all i give it a 7/10 . i did get my necklace tho and i admired her merch van outside the store . also i got the video of her getting angry at security thankfully

how did it spoil your experience? Is it because it was too similar to what you've already seen?
