now in LFL she started with a pretty solid song, Love, and released a pretty mediocre album (in comparison to her other work). the beats are cheap. she sings about being in her feelings. the most iconic thing about this album are the features. other than that this album is pretty bland compared to the others.

A really long ass mixtape lmao (not that I'm complaining)That's cause although it has many beautiful moments but lacks cohesive-ness and identity which is rare in other Lana albums.
It's more like a mixtape than a LP.

Paradise cover out painted
The paradise cover is great but, her face is wayyy too photoshopped but the background is amazing tho. Is there an unedited version of BTD's cover?

Paradise is good but it's too short for me to care enough... though it does carry one of my favourite Lana songs, Cola.
cola is overrated, gods and monsters, ride, bel air are way better
-
this was so hard to understand omg. In my opinion shades of cool, BB,, west coast and black beauty are better than TBD, religeon, and art deco. Get free is better than all the songs. World at war, coachella, and IMF are definetly not better than the paradise songs and finally I can't real!y decide between those BTD and paradiseOkay, so what I get from this is that
The Blackest Day, Religion, Honeymoon and Art Deco are equal to Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby, West Coast and Black Beauty which are better than Get Free, Love, Lust for Life, WTWWAWWKD and her beloved masterpieces IMF and Coachella, which are better than Ride, American, Cola and Bel Air which are better than Born to Die, I Built Her Career Games, Off to the Races, Radio, Carmen, Million Dollar Man and Without You.
Is this something I can get behind

Wtf none of Lana's music is basic pop! Some songs use pop elements but Lana's music always has a certain uniqueness to it. For example Lust for life (song) was basic in terms of song structure but it had things that made it unique like the changri las back vocals and the instrumental

The best part is the instrumental during "This is my life, you by my side, key lime and perfume and festivals"
And the guitar during the pre-chorus

Idek who produced cherry and idc cause I just wish emile did it. I think you were meant to quote Wynwood btw
So wait was tim responsible for the mess in coachella?
wait no this is getting rlly messy lmao
I thought that u were thinking cherry was produced rick nowels because you said "I didn't even know what was wrong with it cause cherry is so good but like" and u quoted wynwood saying "Rick sucks at making hip hop beats" and after that I just started talking about the weaknesses of the album. The people responsible for coachella are miss Lana herself, Rick Nowels, Dein Reid and Kieron Menzies.

IKR, the wolf howl sounds, the piano at the chorus, the bells, the lush drums, the synthy bass sound, they way Lana's backing vocal and main vocals are produced it's all just so amazinglust for life (the song) is too underrated.
its so layered and beautiful. one of my faves on the album
the melody is so amazing too, and it may be weak on the lyrics side, but everything else just outweighs it for me. Listening to the song just gets me in a certain mood.

I love the production of LFL tho, it's one of the best instrumentals on the album IMOomg you captured my incoherent thoughts about the album correctly !!
its like half of the album was half baked in Ableton ksksjk, specifically LFL, IMF, Clochell,
-
Cherry isn't produced by Rick it's produced by Tim lacarcombe, unless I'm misunderstanding what u said lol.!!!! I didn't even know what was wrong with it cause cherry is so good but like, it COULD have just been better somehow and you just explained it
Some songs really do have lacking production like IMF, honestly this song should've been a bonus track or been on a side B, BPBP(the production is really boring and basic like there is nothing amazing about it, the lyrics and Lana's and Nicks's voices save the track), and especially Coachella (the production had good ideas but needed more work, although Lana seems to find it perfect). And I think summer bummer shouldn't have been on the album. I love the song but it just doesn't belong and makes the album really uncohesive. It would be great if Lana would've made a mixtape with asap rocky and other artists and put it on there instead.

Summer Bummer hits pretty hard tho, a total bangerDo you think Lana will ever get back to her Gogo Dancer sound? Last song that hit hardest was Freak from HM.
I wanted to say Cherry, but it's actually pretty much more tame

@@HollywoodHills Thanks
I was watching the album trailer as a music video while listening to LFL today, and alot of the songs like 13 beaches, LFL, GBA, BPBP, WTW, Heroin, Change Get Free really go with it! It made the album aethetic less messy for and I love the album trailer even more now. And then I decided to change my layout to it.
