    What's going on?

    - cherry video is probably cancelled might've been filmed or is going to be filmed cause she said she'd film it in the one month break in her tour which is right now (she said that in one of her interviews with MTV)

    - secret project probably didn't exist in the first place  :teehee:

    - new music is probably gonna be a while, it doesn't seem like she has recorded a lot of music yet. I predict new music will come some time between November 2018 to June 2019

    I really hope she's making something with the alternative gewls she's been hanging out with because Lana's friendship with FKA and Florence seems so random lol but who knows

    lust for life is a continuation of froot thematically.

     

     

    marina sings about how humans are savages and bombs and then guess who decides to sing about politics?

     

    marina uses fruit and space visuals and guess who decides to sing about peaches and cherries all over her album?

     

    marina gets a little more pop and then guess who decides to add more mainstream genres to her album?

     

     

    hmmmm i feel like graham lol

    I noticed this wih the similarities oc the aesthetics of both albums but never put the two together. This makes alot of sense, I wonder of Lana was inspired at all by marina.

    I think Heroin would've been better without the screaming Lizzy bridge, it should've maintained the calmness and emptiness of the first half of the song.

    Just when I thought your taste couldn't get any worse you go and say that! The screaming Lizzy bridge is the climax and the best part of the song! Wait no- its the climax and best part of the whole album! I can't believe you'd call that tea, that's just tap water boo

    can you imagine if lana starred in a horror movie and then made a soundtrack for it? that would shake me to my core. I know Lana isn't an actress but maybe she could be a decent one if she got acting lessons. But tbh I'd be happy with her starring in any type of movie

    Yeah exactly! This era was hardly going to be "witchy," though I do think she had some (very very very) minor references to it beforehand. 

     

    Kind of on the same topic, but kind of digressing... does anyone else hear those subtle production sound in Cherry that sound kind of eerie? I noticed on my first listen back in July and now it's all I hear and I love it  :flutter: it reminds me of the little eerie production notes in 13 Beaches and Heroin. All three of those tracks have a darker sound to them, I love it

     

    Yea I have heard the eery sounds in cherry, they sound like the background music some vintage horror movies have. And the last unfinished sounding note of 13 beaches also sounds pretty eery. I wonder if this was supposed to be a darker era since she said she wrote the darker songs like heroin earlier on, aside from lust for life but maybe that was an eery song too before it got revamped

    Ugh I just hate how 13 Beaches comes after LFL like I can feel my dopamine levels depleting when I hear the strings begin. Why follow up a Lust for Life with that??

    I kind of know what you mean, she could've put a boppier song after but I also think its a good spot as well because I feel like the production of the two songs really go good together and the strings in the beginning are pretty calming. But I know what you mean, 13 beaches would've been better swapped with cherry in terms of mood and tempo

    Ok, I admit LFL isn't as "cohesive" as Her other albums. (HM is her most cohesive). But the only part that's like "wtf is this doing here?" Is when the political songs come in..it throws everything off. Like if there was any story she's trying to tell..those songs are a brick wall separating two chapters and it's very off putting.

    However, the album as a whole is sonically cohesive. The only song that is random when it comes to sound would be IMF. But even that was a welcome experiment.

    I feel the exact opposite, the songs that weren't

    polical or weere about some lover felt completely out of place for me because the political songs were the main concept of the album. I think lust for life should've just been a smaller political album that was about Lana finding herself in the mess of late 2016 and what not.

     

    The tracklist could be like:

     

    1.Love

    2. Lust For Life

    3. 13B

    4. Coachella (revamped production)

    5. GBA

    6. WTWWAWWKD

    7. BPBP

    8. Roses Bloom for You

    9. Heroin

    10 Change

    11. Get Free

     

    The rest of the songs could go on the next project that would come out shortly after, with some extra bops.
