  1. How long did we know of Yes to Heaven et al existing? I was browsing old threads and there was a mention of YTH in like... July 2014. Was this title widely known even prior to UV?
  2. This is very myopic Mentioning a song in nearly every interview released prior to the album is more intimate than sharing a ten second LQ instagram snippet. Even more so when she routinely described it as her favourite of the record, even mentioning lyrics that resonated most with her as well as the context behind the song and what it meant to her. AND YET she still scrapped it. Your instagram theory falls completely apart when considering Lana's irrationality and it's only a matter of chance that all the snippets teased have generally gone on to be released. Also, the second time she posted about RBFY with that "listening listening" caption was PATENTLY ambiguous. Maybe she did plan on releasing it sometime
  3. Whaat that snippet sounds insane... The drums at the end?? Why does too much of her new stuff lack this cadence?
  4. The good life CAUGHT me like no other Lana song has been able to recently I miss this
  5. They got that from an interview the director gave where he mentioned a video for the "first single" even though love was already released. He was either misinformed or confused because love was always known to be the lead He also isn't part of Lana's team so whatever he said was never definitive anyway The latest press releases come from her team so they are very much official
  6. It's not rational to be disappointed at all There was literally no confirmation apart from that one person on here that was adamant a radio premiere was happening
  7. One week until new cover art so we can see if she's decided to put more effort in visuals since September or if she'll give us more tree photos
  8. Holy FUCK This is blowing me away I always knew this song would be amazing But that title...... Its probably the chorus like for WWW
  9. fun 1. How did you discover Lana? When and What Era? I first discovered Lana in late-2013, I guess the middle of the Paradise era (Tropico maybe?). I explicitly remember this because I got a new phone around November/December-ish and I used a free trial of Deezer and for some reason went on Lana's page to listen to ... Blue Jeans probably. Her top tracks were literally just VIdeo Games, Ride and OTTR. My first real era was Ultraviolence. I kept up with all the single releases pretty loosely via Facebook, but I always listened to them and began to anticipate the next single release each time. I remember listening to Brooklyn Baby and loving it, UV (the song) came out on my birthday so that was something. West Coast was nice but I didn't instantly click with it (bearing in mind my music taste prior to this was non-existent, like local rappers and stuff). 2. First song(s)? So my first ever Lana song was the Summertime Sadness remix . It was obviously everywhere in 2013 so youtubed it, and i remember reading in the comments how the original was so depressing compared to the remix which made me interested. I watched the MV and instantly googled 'Is Lana Del Rey a lesbian?' Then Blue Jeans, then Born to Die, then Ride, then OTTR. 3.what did you think? I liked the remix, the original veryyyy gradually creeped up on me. What really captured me was blue jeans; the inflections in her voice and the general atmosphere of the track really shattered my perception of her, I was bumping that song a lot a lot a lot. The RAC remix of BJ was also great for me at the time. But it was all solidified when I heard Ride - it was like real music that i had never heard before. I was actually torn between OTTR and Ride because they were so different but so good. 4. Your favourite song(s)? AKA: Kill Kill, QOTGS, Gramma, PMIAM, MM, Brite Lites demo (leak mertens aka) BTD: Video Games, Summertime Sadness, Lolita (demo 4), National Anthem, OTTR Paradise: Ride, American, Blue Velvet UV: the whole album literally HM: Honeymoon, MTWBT, Freak, Burnt Norton (yep), 24, Swan Song LFL: um Get Free, WTW (probably) NFR: venice bic 5. Least favourite song(s)? I hate coachella. Apart from that: LFL, Dark Paradise, (tbh a lot of lfl songs will fit into here sadly). 6. What song(s) "grew" on you? MPG, FMWUTTT, Guns and Roses, Video Games, 24 7. Whats your favourite Lana era as of now? (May jailer, Lizzy Grant, Lana Del Rey) Lana Del Rey (but from BTD-UV, maybe HM) 8. Favourite Album(s)? Ultraviolence > Paradise > AKA > BTD > HM > LFL 9. Least favourite(s) ? LFL sorry its nice though 10. Favourite song preformed live? /// not sure, young and beautiful, her covers of knocking on heaven's door + scarborough fair, idk I don't really follow her live 11. First song/Album purchased/Downloaded? SS is the first i ever streamed so 12. Favourite song quote/lyric? Lots: "Tell me that you think I'm good / happy that I make you glad" "I'm in love lying in the sand", "1, 2, make it fun - don't trust anyone" "he's got the fire and he walks with it" "i hear the birds in the summer breeze" many i'm forgetting
  10. Honeymoon visuals appearing two eras later... I have to laugh I thought it was only the b&w diamonds part of the VB video that she recycled from the HM video but of course not
  11. Coachella sucks so bad across every dimension - the lyrics are pretentious as fuck (the absolute worst lyrics she's ever come up with), the production is cheap but somehow it managed to secure a spot right in the centre of the album
  12. She wrote "did you find your BITCH in me" and hasn't been able to make a better lyric since. Why?
  13. Oh wow She looks like that picture used on the endless summer tour posters, very '14 and youthful always Gucci I guess?
