TBH I don't get the obsession with promo She has a huge and loyal fan base and she doesn't like being on the spotlight

for starters, I'm pretty sure the vinyls are not ready yet the masters have to be finalized already (about 90ish days before they're available for purchase) but the artwork can be done a bit later the back cover is digital ofc so they don't need to have access to the finished product for that considering the back cover is less important than the front cover it wouldn't be weird for it to be done first anyway isn't the back cover supposed to mention copyright / label? I guess (if it's legit) it's a pre-print version (which could have been further edited) apparently some lyrics have leaked but it's hard to comment on their authenticity edit: we also don't know how old that material is (no reason to believe it was leaked as soon as it was made)

i don't think it'd take a long time to update a few text strings, add a few images and links (assuming they won't change the entire design overnight, but even if they did, the website is pretty simple) anyway most of the updates are probably already done on an internal version and not yet pushed to production I don't know why they updated the metadata already, that's not really good practice lol

imagine her bringing back the retrofuturistic vibe she first mentioned in Honeymoon (although I don't really see it much there) and LFL (RIP blade runner demo) combined with a post-apocalyptic vibe à la The Greatest and expanding on the guitars giving a UV taste, with BPD/P/Tropico glamor she doesn't wanna hide anymore, where she can make her social commentary more refined than what she hinted at on NFR but less tacky/shallow/messy than on LFL, and giving us a proper self isolation / escape from the world anthem like 13 beaches / swan song concept but mixed with current events and with more poetic and bolder lyrics

after what kanye did, she really needs to step up her controversial marketing campaign

I remember when LFL (real) tracklist leaked and everyone thought it was fake, that the titles were weird and oddly hyphenated... so I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be legit since the one who posted it on reddit mentioned the lyrics, assuming they were the og leaker, they must know they're accurate (IF it's real).. and I guess Lana wouldn't bother writing them down for a booklet or anything else really, so it means that possibly someone heard the actual track? lmao also that doesn't sound like a potential single, so someone could've heard the entire album?? sorry for reaching ahhaha

the single version of FIILY has also production and writing credits by Andrew Watt and Louis Bell... I guess the album version is Jack's work only on the other hand, I doubt they'd replace it on streaming services (at least Apple Music since it has already that version as part of the album, as well as the non extended Hope) do we know where the leak come from? it could be a regional or physical album only thing... iirc only german CDs or something had listed the extended version

guys.. I hardly ever comment here; I'm mostly a lurker — but I really need to drop my 2 cents. I couldn't resist and I gave in listening to the recorded through a moldy washcloth during black Friday potato leak... & I've never loved an album so much at first listen. I don't have a single complaint—even the new lyrics in TNBAR fit perfectly. she changed the whole meaning but it's more along the lines of the latter half of the record and it reminds me of Video Games (in how the verses are about what she's living and the chorus more about what she wishes). keeping the old lyrics would have kind of repeated the idea behind the title track, while here she admits how she still wants him cuz she sees him for who he really is (which also gives the other side of what she said in Love song) even closing with her repeating she's still got hope is a brilliant choice. this album is a beautiful blend of lovely reveries mixed with nostalgia and conflicting thoughts about what she's left behind. and it sounds sad in a way she never quite fully explored much: honest and raw, rather than UV and BTD dramatic.
