    - Listening to Lana in the car, staring out the window dramatically, and visualizing what old movie clips Lana would use for the music video.

On American MTV, Lana isn't played at all. They choose to play Lil Wayne instead of Lana Del Rey.
    Blasphemy to the music world.

Ooh, I've been tempted to make a thread like this for a long time but I thought it'd be critically panned by the forum members.

    Anyways:

-I read the word "Off" on a switch and I thought it said "To the Races".
-I stood to do the pledge of allegiance in school the other day and said, "I Pledge Allegiance to my Dad for teaching me-"
-During an assembly, we all stood to sing the National Anthem and I thought they meant Lana's "National Anthem"
-My dad grabbed a Mountain Dew bottle out of the fridge and I automatically whispered to myself "New York City..."
-My Spanish teacher asked the class about poems and the only poem I knew off the top of my head was Walt Whitman's, "I Sing the Body Electric"
-My Social Studies teacher said, "You can't have your cake and eat it too" - and I thought "Don't tell Lana that."

I'll think of more instances in the past as time goes.

I generally just say "fill 'er up" because it sounds fun, and then I tend to rhyme it with buttercup right after. I also use meth(amphetamines) because it sounds pretty.

Both of these I relate to.

To be honest, Lana has made me, in an odd way, proud to be an American.

I had a feeling just from hearing the title that it'd be one of those songs where she just mentions the title once at the beginning. Like Blue Jeans.

Hah, no. Lucky Ones, in my opinion, is better than both of those. The other songs you listed hold their candles to it, but still - Lucky Ones is not bad at all, I don't get why you don't like it - I guess you don't like songs that make you feel happy. I know Lucky Ones makes me feel happy.

Agreed. Whenever I listen to the song now, I'm somewhat forcing myself. It collects dust on my Lana playlist, it sits there untouched mostly.

I feel the same way with Gods & Monsters, it's so melodramatic. The lyrics make me cringe also in some parts. Also the husky voice does not help my views on the song at all.

The production though works in some spots, but overall Gods & Monsters is a slightly better Dark Paradise that I'll most likely leave in the corner of my Lana playlist to collect dust.

Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street were hard for me to watch. I liked Craven's early stuff, but Nightmare was just annoying. And Friday the 13th is extremely overrated.
Michael Myers and John Carpenter dominate all. Slasher gods. (Billy from Black Christmas rules though)

    Anyways, question time!!!

If you ever became a musician, what would you make your stage name?
If you could change your entire personality, style, looks, everything, what would you change it to and from?

The guy in that video is right though.
Can't stand Demi at all and Britney from Blackout to present is too lazy vocally and just piles on the auto-tuned and heavy sounding pop beats to make a single.

Neither of them are good judges for talent tbh, old Britney would be a different story, Demi though really should just not be on there. My void for poppy Britney-esq music was filled by Go Go Dancer.

    Sorry for the sass.
