ANYWAY, getting back on topic of LDR5.... The thing I'm most curious about is if the space aesthetic will apply to anything else on LDR5? Like will it be limited to the Love video or will it crop up somewhere else?

I like the song okay, not really loving the lyrics but they're not bad exactly, just I don't love them? I don't feel anything towards the lyrics in the way I did with Pure Heroine? love the video though omg, I'm a slut for neon lighting 100% haha! I love her dancing in the bathroom, I love her weird moves so much, and when she's dancing on roof of the car I love that bit too! Overall, the colours and lighting in the video are really cool, and as always I love her weird dancing! So I'm loving the visuals, I like the song well enough, but I'm hoping there'll be tracks on the rest of the album that I love the way I love Pure Heroine (not asking for a 2.0 just wanting that same kind of connection to the music?) But yeah, I was expecting more? I don't know... I guess I'll just wait for the album to see how I really feel about this era

Omg can we go like one day without people getting petty and insulting other singers? If you don't like another singer then don't listen to them? Some people get so damn nasty to anyone that isn't Lana, as if just because someone makes different music, makes more 'pop' sounding music, or is more successful than Lana they're automatically a label puppet with no talent? Grow up and get over yourselves.

I'm waiting to hear the full thing before judging, but I'm nowhere near as hyped as I wish I was? I don't know, Pure Heroine felt unique and I related a lot to the lyrics of that album, I hope that will be true also for this new album but it's been so long I just don't even know what to expect? I just felt an instant connection with some of the songs on Pure Heroine, I'm hoping that'll happen with this new album, Lorde's lyrics were unique and they just clicked with me (I don't really know how to explain it), that's all I'm hoping for I guess?

"Surf Noir" is one of my favourite terms Lana's used to describe some of her music tbh, I'd give anything for a surf rock vibe to an album

I just discovered Lydia Ainsworth today! I came across the video for Afterglow on youtube and I was entranced, so beautiful (both the music and the visuals)

This song is so so beautiful, I adore it so much! The first time I listened to it I was just mesmerised by the melody, her voice, the music, the lyrics, all of it I'm so in love, I find these lyrics (and the way she sings them) simply beautiful. The bridge legit gave me chills, her vocals and those lyrics are haunting! I lean more towards believing this is about an ex lover (Bill) than being about herself tbh, but I do find the theory about this being about herself really interesting. Either way, no matter how you interpret it, this song feels personal, which I love! Honestly, this song has a kind of delicate yet dark beauty to it, and I'm enchanted... :legend:

Yeah B.A.R definitely gives me AKA vibes which I love so much! I really adore it This album is definitely shaping up to be amazing, even the bickering and drama on here can't dampen my excitement for this album!! (I mean, what's a Lana era without drama tbh?? Lanaboards meltdowns are Iconic)

Oh I find this song so mesmerising! I'm more excited than ever for the new album, I can't wait to hear what she has in store for us! I just hope yet another song leaking doesn't upset her too much or discourage her!

So is this Miles Kane collab for his album/Last Shadow Puppets or for something completely independent of both of their discography? I know it's been established it's not for LDR5, was just wondering if we knew if it was for his work or just a one off song?

I sneaked Love onto my ice hockey team's warm up playlist on spotify and it's not as 'upbeat' as most of the music we have on there but already three of my teammates have bought the song after hearing it a few times! I really hope this album kind of 'redeems' her in the public eye, she really does deserve to be recognised for her talent, and she seems so happy with this music I want to see it do as well as possible so she can keep smiling

Yeah, they're just promo pics, but I really can't wait to see the cover art, I can't even begin to guess what kind of look it will have tbh? All we have for visuals is the Love video and poster, and who can tell if the rest of the album will follow those visuals? I hope we get to see the cover soon!

I can't with people actually thinking witchcraft = satanism.... like grow up, witchcraft is a CRAFT not a specific religion, it's used in many religions across the world, but it does not automatically mean Lana is sacrificing goats to satan and performing black magic rituals.... most likely she just finds witchcraft interesting, likes the aesthetic etc, maybe she lights some candles and has a few crystals or something, like please let's not overreact and frame all witchcraft as 'evil' this isn't the 16th century, educate yourselves before throwing accusations around

I feel so proud of her! It's especially nice to see this success because of how happy she is about the song? It's just lovely to see that this song obviously means a lot to her and she's in a much happier place and now her hard work is being recognised and rewarded! I just think of her adorable smile, I'm so happy she is happy!!

Yeah I've been so excited to hear the track described as "horror"! It's such a vague description, what could it mean? Horror soundtracks are all so diverse, I have no idea what to expect but I really can't wait to hear a Lana track influenced by a horror vibe!!

That interview seems to reinforce the thing she said before about that new clarity of inner dialogue, it feels like this time (as she said) she has something she wants to say and wants the lyrics to be heard more clearly, so I'm really looking forward to not just this cleaner cinematic sound but to the lyrics of this album being more distinguishable? Hopefully this era will have less disagreements over in the Lyrics forums about what exactly she is singing? (Of course, full lyrics in the booklet would be a treat )

Wow what a breathtakingly beautiful video!! She looks so pretty, and she absolutely radiates happiness, it's delightful to watch her in this video! The space visuals are stunning, I love outer space so much! Ugh I just adore this video! BRAVO LANA! I love this era already so much
