I have to agree but I do feel the hate she gets is so nasty, musicians in general have to deal with so much sh*t especially in the social media era. she needs to build a concrete image and sound, it’s too soon for her- her look is too “seen” like I could confuse her for a lot of other people on Tik Tok. The biggest reason I think she blew up was familiarly. ABCD sounds like we can’t stop by Miley Cyrus with the melody of where is my mind by The Pixies.

I personally didn’t like any of NFR or anything onwards much tbh due to the mixing and lack of instrumentation. There’s a few songs that stand out a bit to me-Tulsa, Arcadia,How to disappear, Hope and Dealer

Listened, I’m very critical of her new work and this is probably her best song since The good songs off the LFL era. The melody here is a lot stronger. it’s not amazing but her vocal is less muffled and the ugly as hell piano is dead.

Promos are to promote the album though-usually they coincide this with a release bundle and such for the album like liability by Lorde etc. Most artists just push both of their normal singles on Snl-Charli did this with break the rules and boom clap, neither were promo singles . To put so much effort into a promo single would not be useful.

Has anyone notice how Charlis vocal tone changes so much? pre TR: very Kate Bush vocals-if you listen to Jungle, gravity or electronique. post TR: Very British accented, close to her speaking voice-nice high notes and falsetto. Sucker: Very bratty and shouty, very Gwen Stefani and all melodies sound catchy In this voice. Post Sucker-before Pop 2: very feminine high pitched vocals, at times she almost does a Caribbeanish accent like in Boys, 3am. Pop 2- onwards: high usage of auto tune. Vocals are very inspired by soundcloud rap-listen to the untuned version of if I cry for example. she incorporates a lot of fast paced melodic verses which are almost rapped. very androgynous almost low vocals. Crash: Falsetto is back but auto tune and the lower pitch vocals stay- see the verses on good ones and new shapes for the low pitch.
