The pictures did look very severe on the red carpet but I’d put it down to lighting and poor posing-she barely seems to go out so I’m not surprised the photos looked a little off to the IG one and the video. Regardless the focus should be on releasing music if she wants to, this conversation is a non starter and doesn’t need addressing.

14 is not much worse than HIFN tbh- they're quite similar in their roughness tbh. some of the crash songs could fit on brat- used to know me springs to mind and beg for you.

Expect one song to have a beat of something reminiscent of trap, hip hop or trip hop even if it’s very muted in the background too- this is a definite on every project except UV.

I haven’t posted here in ages but I’ll tune in for one or two of her songs- I greatly dislike all the leads since MAC even though that one was slightly cute. Anyone expecting differentiation in sound is a tad delusional- expect it to lean breaking up slowly with more piano ballads, muted vocals and selfie pictures edited to have a border on her FaceTune app. The breaking up slowly part will be the country- leaning sounds.

I hope Marina concentrates on making a cohesive album with strong lyricism this time around- hopefully with less social messaging and more restraint than what I’ve seen of her poetry although some of it was good.

I really don’t see how fingertips or kinstugi could be called traditionally melodic tbh unlike Candy Necklace which merged the two(melody and songwriting) quite well - there’s somewhat a melody there with those two but I can’t imagine anyone casually playing it for fun. I don’t even see how there’s a comparison between them at this point- both are very different. All opinions though- we’re on a Lana site so I take no umbrage with the love for her.

The difficulty is most of ocean would have worked 10x better as poetry so her publishing them as actual songs with no replay value was odd.

Lol I just saw this reply so apologies, well we all know the critics are always right- it was never a debate about whether Marina was better but it is the truth- an album should be varied and sonically unique which Lana hasn’t accomplished in years but she is talented for sure.

Come on now/ Lana hasn’t made full top to bottom album in a decade- Lana has a few more better albums but Marina is also not as prolific and doesn’t have the same wet wiping critics who eat anything slow or downturn up.

We don’t know if patty was an actual abuser tbh- I can’t name one parent who hasn’t done verbal abuse- it just depends on the context and the length of time in the occurrence- she’s not in the wedding pics so I’m guessing she was at arms length. From what it sounds like-Lana was a very difficult child based on the information provided such as crashing a car at 15 in BTD interviews and her alcohol addiction.

I don’t think half of us have done what Lana has done in her life tbh- she’s had an affair with a married man prior- the label executive so it’s not like she’s ever been a paragon of morality- I don’t think she’s an awful person because I don’t know her but the backlash is semi justified

Well I doubt all her family are pleased but it’s better to keep contact than to cause an argument- I doubt fans will influence her opinions

well she’s always had views that ive viewed as very odd in context so im not surprised that she’s defending him because in her mind this is clearly minor behaviour if he’s not actively assaulting people.

This ain’t even about Lana anymore- I genuinely find it crazy that some of you can choose to associate with people who would strip your friends rights away because they’re “nice” to you.

Right- let me phrase a question to both of you- let’s say you become pregnant and the doctor tells you that you can’t have an abortion in your state but if you don’t you risk death- would you illegally cross borders? Would your boyfriends agree to this despite being on the “opposite political spectrum”- it’s always okay until it effects YOU
