AG is overrated. She's got a great voice but all she does is show off and oversing, which kind of makes her unenjoyable to listen to

shes technically not that great of a singer tbh, she strains a lot and has enunciation issues I mean she has talent vocally and I say this as unbiased as I can because I dislike her but not in the technical aspect if that makes sense so we really shouldnt put her up there as the standard.

Her tone is also rather generic but thats a subjective comment.

I dont find her vocals in this era 'lazy' at all. To me, it's super Leonard Cohen style, filled with emotion and following the narrative. It's not lazy at all, just a very different style to what we're used to.

And that's fine and all but she's not even going to sing these songs live, she'll mumble a few lines and forget her own lyrics it makes me wonder if she even cares anymore.

No shades of cool? Anyway I would of loved to have seen her live before/during her prime, but there's no denying that the performances lack any passion-with her forgetting her own lyrics,not bothering to get the band to learn songs and lip syncing like Britney spears while she moves her arms/gradually lowers her body to gyrate and adlibs a few mid range whispery lines.

Let's not act like half of you weren't shitting on Honeymoon for like two years aswell talking about her drab and lifeless vocals which I would call an exaggeration but again it's seems like some people follow the pack here instead of making individual opinions.

I dont think lana ever belted in the 6th octave(at least in her ldr discography)..thats actually something very hard even for the soprano vocal types..

I will agree tho, that she needs to belt more in the 4-5 octave where she is able but always chooses to use her head voice

she belted the c6 in cola live an actual c6 not just an exclamation she's just lazy.

I don't know what albums you lot are listening to where her tone isn't monotone post uv and honeymoon is one of my favourites.

one thing i will give credit to LFL for is the way she sings. she tried many different techniques and melodies. I was shook when i first heard the WM bridge because she sounded so different. not to mention all the long and high notes on songs like 13 Beaches, IMF, and WTWWAWWKD

where are these high notes? there's nothing beyond the 5th octave.

this probably won’t be happening but i really want her to play around with her vocals again like she did with UV. i want that raspyness, the deep voice, the scream singing, etc.

she's been lazy with her vocals since honeymoon now and it's gotten even worse since lfl like she was actually mumbling throughout half of that record.

It's such a shame though because she has such a versatile voice but does nothing with it anymore.

Love lil peep I remember his live ig videos and lana was mentioned aswell as his love for her and then his friend lil Gustav mentioned how she used to run a fan account about lana.Anyway moving on to the new music it's weird to think most of these songs were actually quite old and basically remixed although I still need to listen to the full album, life is beautiful is my favourite so far and really is up there with his best work.

There used to be a massive Google drive full of all the leaked songs not sure if it was taken down.

tbh Bounce may be the worst of the leaks and here are my reasons why:

 

1) the only good verse is the first one (if you in the club)

2) the version that leaked has really bad vocals 

3) the production is just so dated and tired 

4) it killed xcx3 with Kimmel LMAO 

5) charli truly is on some dumb shit for thinking that was a suitable next single and not can you hear me? 

 

But the chorus of Bounce is truly one of Charli's best and should be reworked into a new song

From what we've heard so far, it sounds like these songs go well with the last few songs on LFL. The songs from TNC onward mesh well with the released songs.

 

 

Yeah I don't understand how people can say it's her best. It's good and I enjoy it, but it's definitely not her best, and I like MAC a lot more.

Mac grew on me a lot though I don't get the west coast comparison.

VB is way overrated imo the lyrics aren't that great and those are her strong suit for me especially after she has said she is a writer first, i think MAC is way better and it might be one of her best songs

its just her mumbling cliche lana lyrics in her mid range with a little acoustic guitar and then a acid rock solo it's very overhyped and isn't that experimental, bit basic in my opinion tbh.
