What's bizarre is if they knew the type of fan base charli has they know none of her songs would appeal to Jimmy Kimmel viewers anyway, the brandings are totally different you don't go there to perform party songs to middle aged people unless you're a big superstar.my skinny mind i knew it was the kimmel performance that killed xcx world. that is so sad, could they really not have just chosen something else off the album to test the waters with and scrapped bounce if they didn’t like it?
also i’m just now realizing i wanna be with you sounds like a dreamer prototype (but better)

Is anyone else glad charli stopped plucking her brows I mean they weren't bad but still this eyebrow glow up(years from bottom to top) - Perfection(2016-18)
This weird chunk of right eyebrow missing era.
The I trimmed the ends too much era.

she's always been a different breed of pop star though that's what people are forgetting, boom clap was the start of her becoming a mainstream pop star with no alt elements but Charli would always need an outlet for her less mainstream endeavours and there's where the mixtape idea fits in.I'd argue that the Vroom Vroom EP was pretty ground breaking, I mean, I certainly did not expect a pop singer like her to drop something like that at the time.
And if anything, I feel like Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 absolutely felt like the PC Music crew bending to her creative vision and playing it a lot safer than you'd expect them to (save for a few tracks)as opposed to Vroom Vroom which clearly felt like SOPHIE doing whatever the hell she wanted and Charli just rolling with it.

Lana clearly loves it(hip hop)so the influence isn't going anywhere ,but I do agree its troubling that she had a album that she herself said was folk and electric guitar driven and has suddenly done a 180 though I do want some more up tempo tracks.
-
we get it you don't like hip hop but it isn't always trashy or "garbage" and summer bummer is one of the best songs on lfl so that's a moot point.Lana has a trashy side we known that ...she mixes with the wrong crowd. She Needs to stay away from rappers it’s cringy as hell. In my opinion she doesn’t suit them at all it devalues her. Keep them on there albums only. It would be a tragedy if she had a beautiful psychedelic cohersive album and slap bang in the middle is some hot garbage rap. The rap on LFL really lowered it in class.

Summer bummer was one of the best songs off lfl so I'm not worried about a hip hop influence I just don't want tons of collabs because lana works best solo and it's very conflicting with the folk and soft rock sound.

Yes I just added reeve in aswell forgot they dated she looked so cute with both of them.YES I was watching pics of him a week ago for some reason and I was like "ok but... he's actually cute..." and considering the music he made w her... wig

This makes me think Lana would be more into him lmaohe said he'd fuck Eminems daughter when she was a minor. Lana deserves so much better.

I love you sounds like born to die which I don't get as many people dispute btd having any rock elements I thinks it's a gender issue tbh neither are really rock albums both are hip hop inspired alternative pop albums.I'm not excited for a MGK collab. But the reason I'm so optimistic about Lana collabing with Jesse Rutherford is because I always thought he and Lana's music was more 'in tune' with each other. Plus he makes decent music with The Neighbourhood and he isn't too hip hop either. The Neighbourhood's album 'I Love You' has a lot of rock elements to it, so hopefully that will be what this supposed collab will sound like. But since Lana said NFR is more like Red Hot Chili Peppers vibes, so maybe it'll be more like the album 'Wiped Out!' since it has a lot to do with LA/California lyrically.
The closest Neighbourhood song I think that fits with the vibe of NFR (MAC specificallly) is this song:

Above all, I hope the collab will sound a little something like this:

its not that experimental I can imagine the republican tour fans getting into it.Looks like Unlock It got dropped from the setlist in favor of 1999. Makes me kind of sad lol, I mean I'm glad she gets to perform 1999 now but it made me so happy that she was playing a Pop 2 song to stadium audiences, its kinda unreal when you think about it. Even tho most ppl who heard it were probably like wtf is this sksksksk
Also are these basically the xcx confirmed mixtape guests?

Tbh I think she should just scrap every song including the new released singles(not shading them I loved them) , put them on an ep and start over on the album with taking time to find a sound I think the pc stuff is a bit done to death now I'm awaiting the next thing from charli and her evolution as an artist.
