? I don’t see how it’s really debatable tbh- even mac and Venice have some folk influence in there- BAR is definitely folk mixed tropical pop

I mean I’d argue hope, NFR, Bartender and love song were all folk ballads- just piano driven folk songs

The surf rock element is slightly there on the cd version of I love you but again even the vinyl version gears more towards trip hop in the vein of how to disappear.

I always find it a reach when people call NFR rock too- Mac and the greatest are soft rock but other than that it’s a piano driven folk record with some influence from pop and trip hop

They have shared stems and dozens of recycled melodies- the overall sound is more folk driven but yeah I’d argue they are siblings
