what she should do is just announce that she’s stopping any type of public interaction and may appear at parties/whatever but not as promo- state music will be released when she feels ready if ever with no expectation for an upcoming date and that otherwise she is focused on other avenues e.g. her modelling Like no one would be pissed- she should just be honest

Is anyone surprised? Isn’t it confirmed she has anxiety hence why her live acts and old interviews tended to be awkward She probably cancelled which is understandable but again why is she pursuing a high profile music career which is probably detrimental to her well being?

There definitely are people who are rude and mean about sky on here, but the majority of us are just retelling factual information when we occasionally pop in out of boredom.

There is no indication that she ever was telling the full truth- look at the full timeline- no one forced her to give mutiple release dates yearly, no one forced her to not give information about why tour dates were cancelled without compensation?? No one forced her to say her album was delayed because of the trump presidency we’ve had people who worked with capitol who stated the only thing they didn’t approve was of the descending release and that she had never handed in a full album. There was no reason for anyone at capitol to approve+film a full video and then scrap 1000s- again she disliked the editor.

Von Dutch is a pop song- it’s literally dance pop with a instrumental that sounds like I love it. None of the new material indicates she’s gone full dance or electronic Her not writing more than a hook means nothing

What makes this all funnier is that she kept going on about crash being so cohesive and her best record upon release- then she got dislike and went with that as her opinion. I think shes very swayed by acclaim which makes sense as pop2 is her favourite.

She didn’t diss crash here but she has implied mutiple times that she has disowned the material on that record. It’s quite apparent that she dislikes it- from saying that she isn’t as bored of brat as she was with prior records to saying she doesn’t want to make an album in that way again- it all just seems like a coverup to say she hated it For what it’s worth I think crash will end up fairing better in the longer term when people see her albums- if von Dutch is any indication.

I think her biggest chance of becoming a Dua level of medium recognition would have been sucker but more payola was needed- the promo was there via talk shows etc but something was still missing- image was perfect and the music was there- she just needed something to break through and I just don’t think the label were expecting her to semi blow up/were busy with other acts in the Uk so the timing was wrong.

if you didn't enjoy this song [Von dutch] you won't enjoy the rest of the album, because while she's been teasing this as some eDgY album for the rave gays it actually couldn't be further from that near every song is 2 minutes, and compared to the raw indie inspired visuals the production actually sounds 10 times more minimalistic, polished and radio pandering than CRASH don't go into it expecting heavy club bangers because you'll be very disappointed when the album comes out and your faves from the snippets she's been previewing actually sound like 2013 pitch demos and needless to say, lyrically, the themes don't go beyond her delusions of grandeur / inflated ego and her one sided beefs with fellow pop girls- but I can't believe that anyone would expect depth from a Charli XCX song to begin with"
