if you didn't enjoy this song [Von dutch] you won't enjoy the rest of the album, because while she's been teasing this as some eDgY album for the rave gays it actually couldn't be further from that near every song is 2 minutes, and compared to the raw indie inspired visuals the production actually sounds 10 times more minimalistic, polished and radio pandering than CRASH don't go into it expecting heavy club bangers because you'll be very disappointed when the album comes out and your faves from the snippets she's been previewing actually sound like 2013 pitch demos and needless to say, lyrically, the themes don't go beyond her delusions of grandeur / inflated ego and her one sided beefs with fellow pop girls- but I can't believe that anyone would expect depth from a Charli XCX song to begin with"

I think I actually prefer in the city It’s mid but atleast her vocal is present Rita Ora and Sam n01 Uk charts
-
Did no one notice she’s uploaded a USB with two mystery tracks?
-
I hope she has songs without this vocal effect which has been used in speed drive and von Dutch
-
D*** check needed to confirm
-
I agree but only because it’s mostly lgbt shouting to the extent that I cannot hear a single line sung live
-
Yep- probs could if you’re a celebrity and giving some shittily overpriced venue exposure
-
The MV is massively Crash film coded which is weird because it would have been perfect for crash title track as a single It even has the good ones death pose which makes me wonder whether this idea was scrapped from crash as a continuation
-
The video is very low budget- in fact all her videos seem to be after sucker bar good ones(even that is very medium tier budget)- is the idea of music videos dead. Potentially- why even have them if there’s no innovative concepts from artists? Surely it takes budget away
-
Anyways tired discussion over please
-
The cover isn’t it and von Dutch is polarising
-
Y2K is 2000s/very late 1999 and used to be that cyber futuristic aesthetic with the metallic/foil like designs before it got reappropriated to mean any 2000s crap
-
Idc about the cover but I am confused on if there’s going to be an aesthetic direction at all because it’s not giving Y2K skins rave uffie- moreso late 90s natural club chic.
-
Why are we arguing over a green cover with text that took 30 minutes in adobe photoshop like are these insults worth it?
-
I’m expecting a selfish girl type track on this album Or a I finally understand
-
Nope-Von Dutch cover gives ray of light. brat booklet photos gives me homogenic this paired with her club clothes at events- I’m confused what the aesthetic is? Maybe it’s not meant to be clear aesthetic direction.
-
All the photos from this era give me a natural ray of light/homogenic vibe and then the cover looks completely different.
-
That was a 2013 moment where everyone was doing that
-
Beg for you(solo) is the second single btw
-
The shoot reminds me of bjoke
-
Let me wait and see for the full album before I bitch- I wonder if she’ll do any ties in with faces of death for promo
-
Maybe the Amerifats are right sometimes
-
Like ideally this needs to be out by March/April or people will forget
