I don’t hate Taylor either but her influence is not needed on the music- she’s very granola as evidenced on their collab

I wonder what @lustforlife thinks of the album?

I need more dark music- I imagine her and jon batiste would make an amazing dark cabaret album

Yeah this is true but the money an artist actually receives per stream is so low- I don’t even think it’s a penny

I meant the album as a whole but I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell how much flowers will do in the long run- streaming makes next to no money- physicals and selling songs for ads is what generates revenue

It’s still going to make more than Miley, not that it matters but the auto play PayPal alone is more than this eras cost

This is a good point but I think with actual number scores-fans have destroyed the concept- reviewers will rarely pan someone like ice spice even if they have a big enough platform- we need to start actualising scores to the reviews

I wouldn’t say any of the reviews have been nasty tbh, I do think the scoring to the reviews is odd though- some of the glowing reviews only have 70 or whatever and some of the reviews where they’re panning it are giving 3/5? Are they scared to make the score reflect the reviews lmao

I mean you could probably make a point saying that it’s more indebted to NFR in some ways because Jack and Lana reused a lot of stems and melodies here and there- but I still think the similarity applies.

I’d argue BB flows a lot better whereas Ocean has more rich production on some of the tracks

It does sound like BB though and it was made during the same time…they have the exact same themes and a similar sound- only difference is the mastering etc

It’s lucky they’re not- because some of the newest reviews aren’t particularly positive

Songwriting wise I’d actually say she can be when she wants to- One of the best pop lyricists tbh you’d need to be British to understand the context between some of the lines though

What 💀 not even the mid tempos are accessible- peppers would never play on top 40

Fishtails fits so randomly on the album- I’m not still not convinced it isn’t a LFL reject Peppers is catchy
