Does anyone else feel like the single cuts Pale to the album gems like Candy necklace, let the light in and Paris, Texas- I honestly think all the single choices are odd besides A&W(the second half starting with the gimme more beat would have been a cute interlude) which whilst I don’t like can see why it was chosen.

Fishtail combined Tulsa Jesus freak and in my mumble song and ended up sounding like the inside of a microwave she thought adding Tulsa to a LFL scrap would make it better- but even bops can’t fix scraps

I like all those songs 💀 what’s so awful about those covers? The Nina ones aren’t ones I’d typically play outside the album but they make sense in context and are essential to the full album. you’ll never walk alone has some of her best acapella vocals too I don’t think fingertips is unlistenable it’s just not that good besides it’s lyricism it’s very boring

American& whore reminds me a lil bit of Gimme more by Britney Spears

Cocc has a lot of guitar tbh- more muted flops I will say I’ll be quiet now

There was no surf rock music, she lied to us about the peppers influence too we did get some soft rock and psych influence though.

I don’t think this will be her last album before she takes a break but I do think she should aim for a break after the next one atleast- we had the quickest timescale for people being done with the album already and opening Lana Del X longevity may be an issue here

The US is so weird though- thanks to Lana I discovered what a weird Frankenstein country it is- Paris, New York, Birmingham, New london, Manchester

Paris is so cute- I do agree with the other comment or who said it feels straight out of the Caroline soundtrack, it goes by fast

A lot of what peoples issues are with this album can be traced to NFR- it’s really not that different it’s just gone farther into that sort of world

It depends how you do homages- honestly I do believe in artistic freedom so if it’s just a nod and a influence I think that’s great. but at the same time-some of her relatives are still alive I believe 💀 and I’d be devastated to hear someone I’m related to is still being used for profit all these years later-not necessarily blaming Lana!

the way it starts disco, goes into 80s chorus rock and then pivots in early 90s house one of her great songs though she was approaching copyright infringement tbh 💀

No I agree I love early Jack- Rollercoaster is new wave perfection and I’d be amazed if we got a song like that

The dislikers are right about Candy necklace because like her earlier work it features an original composition and evolves her work without using recycled stems 10+ times not every producer can do this sadly!
