I don’t think we’ll ever get confirmation that the tracklist actually was for an album shortlisting tbh- I know insiders have backed this up but I need sources- it does just seem more likely to me that she was shortlisting songs for the film- decided on I talk to Jesus and then scrapped it for UV instead.

I think UV still would have been better tbh-it’s more fully formed and the diss tracks were more nuanced like fucked(lorde and media diss track) and money power glory(critics).

I agree with you both- I was just confused because a lot of people seem to have the idea that tropico was in the works for awhile and the label nixed it for paradise to exist.
