I thought I loved you. I thought you were cool. Guess not

I agree 100% but there's also a point when you realize that black people experience different levels of racism based on their location. I know people in California who say they've never experienced racism in public and don't understand how that's even a thing anymore since their community is so diverse and accepting while there's people near me that experience racism almost daily. Everyone's experience is valid but I've learned about racism through my black family, friends and the things I've seen throughout my life. I can't say I understand anyone's experience but my own, but I can listen and learn from other's experiences. I can't trust someone who says racism isn't that bad anymore more when I've had to watch my brother in law explain to his 5 year old daughter what the n-word meant and tell her why some kids at her school didn't want to play with her because of her race.

The idea of people of color even being able to be in better positions financially than white folks is such a new concept in the span of American history. There's still social, economic, job and financial biases against poc, ones that don't effect white people at all. So because of that I don't think it's really fair to say black and white success is equal. I mean, look at Obama, he had to be the best of the best, well educated, years of experience in his field, humble at all times and people still said he wasn't qualified to become president. Trump on the other hand just had to be rich and white and could be as rude as he wanted. I think economically it's racially better where it was 50, even 20 years ago, but we're not at a point now where there's equal opportunities for all. People are so quick to judge the actions of anyone who isn't like them yet they refuse to acknowledge the same things they're judging implies to whatever racial/religious group they're in. It's a lack of compassion that's greatly lacking. There's so much racism that white people hide in public. Just because they aren't going around lynching or shooting people doesn't mean they aren't racist. There's so many "nice people" who are really racist as hell. Do people just live in a bubble or are they really that blind to the reality of racism?

Okay I still want a temporary ban on white Christian men because they cause terrorist attacks outside of the US too and they cause more here than anyone else. Giving leeway or special interest towards white folks means you consequently put them above others, which is actually very harmful. Oh... does that not work when it's implied to your bigoted views? Because it's literally the same thing. Stop protecting whiteness. If Americans weren't afraid of skin color, they wouldn't feel the need to attack middle eastern people and call them terrorist even without them showing any physical signs (ie: religious clothing) being Muslim. They wouldn't be okay with racially profiling Muslims. If you think white Americans don't see race in their fear of Muslims you're extremely ignorant to white racism. And there's parts of America with race issues are pretty good, but don't tell me that when I live in a town full of klan members. There's an alt-right tea party building on my street that had a mannequin with Obama's name on it lynched for weeks after his re-election. My brother in law was stopped by the cops because I was in the car with him. He was being racially profiled for driving an expensive car and the officer assumed I was in danger because I was in a car with a black man. My neighbor is a klan leader and has physically threatened the lives of my family because of our mixed races and religions. Racism is very much alive and a real threat. If it's not like that where you are, then great, but it's not like that everywhere. Hell, even 15 minutes away from where I live is a hella lot better than the town I live in.

viewing people as equal beings >>>>>>>>>>> the bigotry of the republican party

pacifism isn't always the answer tho, sometimes people need to be angry and fight against oppression. Ignoring ignorance is only allowing it to continue. Silence in the face of bigotry is why the cycle continues. If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.

but "the left" is superior when compared to bunch of racist misogynistic homophobic transphobic xenophobic pieces of sh-t, human decency is always superior.
-
The only time people say that is as a counter arguments towards racist who try to justify their profiling/xenophobia/bigotry. When someone says all terrorist are Muslims while denying the existence of white Christian terrorist then yeah, discussing the actions of white people and the damage they've done to America is necessary.
-
Y'all act like the KKK are irrelevant meanwhile my neighbor is a kkk leader who threatened to murder my toddler black nieces over their race.
-
Americans view things racially because racism has played a huge part of our country's history since the beginning, from slavery to Japanese interment camps to denying Jewish immigrants after the holocaust to fighting against civil rights to modern police shootings and racial profiling... yeah... race is something very deep rooted in American history and it needs to be talked about and fought at all cost.
-
I still can't believe someone said all terrorist are Muslims and are making up excuses as to why white terrorism isn't real...
-
Diversions and ignoring facts are typical of politically and socially uneducated people. Profiling will always be racist. White people and Christians are never profiled in America, they never will be, ever. Supporting profiling for any one else is racist. How can you deny white terrorism? Terrorism isn't exclusive towards Islam.
-
You don't have to be of a certain race or religion to realize the ignorant sh-t people say about it them wrong
-
Posting the race statics of Muslims as a whole doesn't erase the target placed on Muslims from middle eastern decent. There's a stereotypical view of Muslims in America that is going to cause any non-white/passing Muslims to be targeted at higher rates than anyone else.
-
You can't support profiling Muslims and Latinxs without supporting profiling Christians and white men considering they're statically the biggest terrorist group in America. We're not talking about Sharia Law though, but thanks for you typical diversion tactic that everyone uses when coming face to face with the double standards of profiling It's great how easily y'all are ignoring the fact that statically white christian men commit more terrorist acts than Muslims. Your xenophobic and Islamphobia is being checked by everyone on here, including the 20 or so friends I have on here that are Muslims.

they literally are though http://usuncut.com/news/guess-which-terrorist-group-killed-most-americans/

You realize blaming white extremism on mental illness and not Islamic extremism is ridiculous as hell? White boys are always "mentally ill" in the media, but every single other person is used to propell racist stereotypes. White extremism isn't mental illness, it's centuries of white supremacy telling white men they're superior and anyone else is undeserving of life.
-
because Muslims shot up and bombed Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Columbine Sandy Hook, Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, Lulaby's, Century 16... I could go on for days
-
white boy wants to go to a movie theater? Check him out too. If this sh-t were happening to white people or Christians the entire country would be in flames right now, but yeah, let's just let it happen to black lantinx and Muslims folks because f-ck them right?

YES!!! I have a monthly donation set up with them <3 Also, anybody on here that uses birth control or thinks they'll need in within the next few years - get an IUD asap to ensure your health insurance covers it because there's a huge possibility it won't be covered and the prices will sky rocket and that form of birth control will outlast Trump's presidency.
