Honeymoon Lust for Life/Born to Die Tied in 2nd. Ultraviolence Paradise From what I've heard so far of NFR, I think it might bump LFL and BTD to 3 and become my new 2nd.

Tomorrow Never Came comes along and ties both up with daisy chains and concrete and chucks them into a river.

What happened to her look is that this forum got bored and needed someone to criticise it ;) I mean I do love her BTD look, but I guess things change. She is going for a different look these days, but idk, it seems to suit the music. She always looks great at performances, photoshoots and other appearances. In everyday life, who cares what she looks like. Must be tiring putting makeup on everyday. And a lot of that awesome looking stuff she used to wear might not of been overly comfortable or practical....

I had no idea there was so much hate for Lust for Life (The album). I mean I do skip Summer Bummer, Groupie Love, In my Feelings and Tomorrow Never Came, but that still makes it a 12 track album. There are so many good songs on the album. Even Summer Bummer and In My Feelings are starting to grow on me (nearly 2 years later ). Given most of the songs that I don't like are collaborations, I hope there aren't any on NFR, or if there is, just one.

Idk about anyone else, but I love all the songs from this era so far. MAC is awesome VB is one of my fave bits of work she's done - it has such a mood. Its the end of summer here in Australia (well technically it ended 2 weeks ago but we've still got warm weather) and it just fits so well. HIADTFAWLMTH is so toned down and beautiful HIAB - Sounds like a bop HTD - I love the piano in this one - very meaningful Cinnamon - A slow burn moody bop - interesting chorus and production by the sounds IYC - idk what to say - I just love it! The production on this album seems on point IMHO. I love the Piano driven songs, they're cool.

As much as I hate to say it I think Yosemite was reworked into Mariner’s Apartment Complex (Not that I don’t love MAC, but I would have loved to have had Yosemite + BAM)

I’m curious - do people actually think she’s likely to put Yosemite on NFR?

I have a few - Honeymoon is better than UV. LFL and BTD are also better than UV. I still love UV though, its just my least favourite. - Lust for life would have been better without tomorrow never came, groupie love, in my feelings, and with a solo version of summer bummer, best American record, and roses bloom for you as an interlude. - Without You and Lucky Ones are amazing songs.

It’s all that I playyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy But yes I’d love to hear demos or outtakes. It is such an amazing album. I’ve always been confused by Lana’s neglect of it.. especially live. My theory is she doesn’t think the songs are well known enough to do live or something... I haven’t noticed that!! Will have to listen again. I often listen to the instrumental of the album because its amazingly beautiful and calming in a way.

I can just picture Lana having Marina, Florence and Jack locked in a room binding copies of the book... Every single one of them

UV is my least favourite of Lana's - I mean I still like it, but Honeymoon to be is just so much better - I prefer the orchestral cinematic sound a lot more than the guitars on UV. I just find Honeymoon's songs better and less monotonous.

To be fair we've heard a fair amount of UV LIve As far as I'm aware, we've heard these live: - Cruel World - Ultraviolence - Shades of Cool - Brooklyn Baby - West Coast - Money Power Glory - F*** my way up to the top - Old Money - Florida Kilos From Honeymoon, we've heard: - Honeymoon - Terrence Loves You - High by the beach - Freak - A tiny bit of Salvatore So 9 songs vs 4.5 (if I'm generous) songs. Plus I much prefer Honeymoon to UV which is why I'm more disappointed

Because its such a good good album and I've been holding out for a tour or something! Dying to hear the Blackest Day live :'(

I really liked Born to Die and Paradise, wasn't a fan of Ultraviolence but it grew on me - i just wanted another Born To Die, and the same with Honeymoon, except Honeymoon quickly grew equal favourite to Born to Die - its a masterpiece. I'm sad the era might be ending, especially considering we haven't even heard most of it live. I'd be down for a Honeymoon re-release like BTD the Paradise edition.
