    hope is such a powerful song. Sometimes I'm in the car and the song starts playing, and it surprises me so much... everything around me seems to lose its color and the world just becomes slow. I really really love it, the lyrics seemed so random at first but now I feel like they're an infinite world of words quickly encapsulated in those 6 minutes. I wish people appreciated it more  :ohno:

     

    People on this board may not appreciate it more, but it's definitely largely considered one of the best songs she's ever written. Tons of reviews have singled it out as especially impressive. It's stunning.

    She's noticed me on three other livestreams before since she follows me and answered my question about new additions for the then upcoming setlist for LATTM, so I'll try to ask her some things (might re-ask the setlist question).. what things should I ask?? x

     

    Ask if the tour is going to be mostly the new album, or a more standard setlist from her. Trying to decide if I should fly to Vancouver lol

    California has the weakest chorus on the album in my opinion. I’m surprised it’s the fan favorite.

     

     

    I think the chorus is brilliant. The verses and pre-chorus build to something more emotional and dramatic so we're expecting her to keep going in that direction, but instead she slides back into something very casual on the surface, but also desperate in nature which makes the song a lot more heartbreaking for me. She really, really wants this guy to come back to California, but she doesn't want to know him how badly she misses him or how much guilt and regret she feels from their relationship, and it really doesn't feel like he's ever coming back.

    I hate sounding like a broken record but seriously is there anyone who hasn’t gotten a shipping confirmation email yet for their vinyl from her store? It just feels like I’m the only one who’s album hasn’t shipped.

     

    So if there’s literally anyone here who’s vinyl hasn’t shipped can you make yourself known? And maybe share when you ordered it and what country you’re in? I just wanna know if it’s happening to other people or if it’s just me.

     

    This only applies to any orders from one of Lana’s shops, not other random stores.

     

    Hey I haven't gotten confirmation either, and I'm also in Canada. When I click on my order it says Pending - Will Ship August 30, so I think we'll get our confirmations tomorrow!

    I'm still processing the album and listening on repeat before I fully post my thoughts, but it's definitely a gorgeous piece of work. I find Lana's albums really should first be listened to the same way you'd watch a film series. This album tells a beautiful story, and it's a great continuation of the story she's been telling since Born To Die. I think each of her albums have an important place in the overarching story of Lana Del Rey.
