I am so conflicted, I want to wait for Candy Necklace but I don't know if my sanity can, I could hardly sleep I was so excited. I also need to listen to this album before my house guest arrives on Wednesday and if our girl Candy isn't here by then and I still haven't listened I'll panic. I will probably crack this weekend and then consider Candy Necklace something extra special to look forward to on release day.

My Candy Necklace prediction: a heartbreaking chronicle of all the different men who have gifted her a metaphorical candy necklace, aka a promise of love, and then wronged her. Followed up with a chaotic Jon Baptiste Interlude which instrumentally shows her emotions all over the place, and then Kintsugi comes to pick up all the broken pieces and put her back together, making her ready to confront her darkest emotions head on in Fingertips before the album swings in a more positive direction for the rest of the album.

Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd - Merch & Media Drop

The merch should have included a stainless steel candy necklace replica -
I get what you mean in the sense that this is her first "big" album since then but I also think everything that's come since NFR are important stepping stones to reach this album, I don't think Lana was ready to explore some of the stories that she's telling now. Violet came first and was her first foray into more experimental performance, and then Chemtrails allowed her to wander the countryside aimlessly as she tried to figure out what comes next, and then Blue Banisters had her start digging into her family history. I think all of those experiences were really important for her to reach the point where she can explore her family and her life as a whole in the really theatrical and incisive way we seem to be getting on this album.
