I mean, this is the chick who pumped out a full album by the time she was fifteen years old...I bet she has at least a hundred tracks up her sleeve.

SHE ALREADY RELEASED IT! !!! !!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone, blackmail him...wasn't the paycheck for his remix enough?
  3. Can't decide if good or bad. The original is just so hyper, so full on energy...I like the music itself, but I just hate Emeli.

She did say two songs were already finished...at the very least, we can hope for a re-release. She could always pull a Jai Paul on us, and leak a ton of demos via an official medium and pretend it's a mistake.

Yes. It's a fantastic record, one of their best...I just hope their U.S. record has some more songs. Honestly, though, their bonus track "Heads Up" is probably my favourite, along with "I Love It" and "We Got the World." This brings me to my next topic...I asked one of the co-writers of "I'm Not Sorry" if it was gonna be released soon, and here's what he said: https://twitter.com/ludwiggoransson/status/328908035135242243 Help how do I embed a tweet???

A new title was just registered on both ASCAP and Harry Fox! I kinda doubt it's the Marina collab, but the fact it was only just uploaded makes me curious - What even is it? It's co-written with Gary Go and Ludwig Goransson, neither of whom I've heard of previously...I'll do some digging and see if there's any info of them working with her previously. o_O Oh, and lest I forget, the title is "I'm Not Sorry."

Lyrically, my favourites would have to be "Art Bitch," "Princess Song," (Sorry Jake - it was on MySpace as this too) the bridge of "Lock You Up," and possibly "Valentine." The production on "Take My Hand," in and of itself, makes it its own masterpiece. And the way the backing vocals on "Nuclear Seasons" (Oh A, Oh Oh A, Oh Oh!) are executed deserves special mention, because they're fantastic. "Lock You Up" has a lot of really weak lyrics, as Pitchfork was quick to point out in their review of the record, but it honestly cannot be counted off for this because its writing is so incredible. It's such a simple hook, but the way she uses it makes it seem anthemic and earnest as a Pop song could possibly be. "Feel My Pain" is one of her most melodramatic songs, and I miss the extra, gorgeous percussion we have in the sampler version, but the remarkable spoken bridge really makes it up for me. "Mess" and "Lonely Jaguar" deserve special mention here, because from what we've heard of both of them, they're both really awesome. "Mess" is such a frenzy - a green, slitering, jumping, jungle-y monster of a song. "Lonely Jaguar" is elegant and well thought through, much like a cat, but exhibits additional qualities of emotion that can't be overlooked. Don't forget "The Killing Moon" - probably the best cover she'll ever do - and "Jungle." The lyrics of "Jungle" are beautiful even in the butchered recording we have, but I am certain the original is far more incredible. If only we could get Phaeleh to give it to us...

    Stuff I Like.....

Anyone else ever heard of Rudimental? I found out about them when Charli sampled on of their songs with MNEK, 'Spoons...' Now it seems that they're really picking up steam, and looks like their debut will be up soon! I think they're just a production duo, so every track has a featured vocalist. I just started to listen to their 'sampler,' and their song with Angel Haze is already blowing me away. http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home"> http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home" /> http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home/http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home">http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home by http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home">http://soundcloud.com/rudimentaluk/sets/home

I wonder if the other Joakim Ahlund songs would...it seems like such a random producer choice, as is the sample.

I found the copy I use on an archived MySpace, and used it for the "unreleased XCX" SoundCloud...not sure if if this is exactly the same, but they're at least super similar.
  13. You're so welcome! ^_^ Also, if you'd like to help me compile a list of her unleaked songs, be my guest...there are several on Harry Fox, ASCAP, and BMI.
  14. Unreleased Florence Part four would be here too, but I can't find the songs that would make it up! Just some songs from her time with the Jazz-Fusion band Ashok, including the 'Kiss With a Fist' demo 'Happy Slap,' her songs from the Florrible and Misrabella MySpace, and 'Here Lies Love,' from David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's album of the same title. There are more very old covers, available on YouTube, that I never downloaded, so I can't really upload them.

Speaking of which, any way you could upload it? I found 'Strings,' but everything else on it is really hard to found.

We know, for sure, 'Interior' (produced by Ariel) 'Midnight' Rick Nowels song Greg Kurstin song Linda Perry song MNEK song(s) 'Jungle' (I'm pretty sure it was at one point going to be on the album) 'Mess' (performed live, and I'm sure a studio version exists) She also recorded a studio version of 'The Killing Moon,' but I have no idea what she was going to do with it...maybe she would've put it on the mixtapes, but never got around to it? Additionally, there are some random songs she did with other producers, but, like 'I Love It,' they might be given away to other artists. I started the 'rumor' - if you could call it that - about the second sampler, so it's only right I should qualify my belief that it exists, and at least try to explain why with the evidence I have. There is a user on last.fm, who, last Fall, started scrobbling some songs which were registered about the same time on ASCAP. Interestingly enough, all the titles came from a compilation she had labelled "Rough Demo - Ask Client Before Pitching." I have no idea now what this could mean, much less did I understand what it meant back then. But the tracklist for this album - which I thought had to be a sampler - was as follows: Black Roses How Can I Interior Lock You Up (Demo) Take My Hand That's what I assume constituted the second sampler, but then again, I'm not sure. If any of you would like to try to contact her, or investigate for yourself what she has on her profile, here is a link to the album as listed in her library. Just felt it was only right for me to clarify this, because, as Andrew pointed out, I'm sure it sometimes comes across as if I have 'special knowledge' about Charli + her music, when most of my info comes from research that can be readily accessed if you just know where to look. Yes, as Electra Heart confirmed. And I've never heard of "Mermaids & Mermen," but I'm intrigued by this title. You see, the song title "I Want to Be a Mermaid" has also been thrown around a good bit, but I've never seen it listed on MySpace, Bebo, Last.fm, or any other site where her old songs are listed. I mean, it could definitely be real, but perhaps it's an alternate title for this song! In other news, I know someone who has a second demo of "You (HA HA HA)," but if we ever do get to hear it, it won't be from him.
  17. I can help both of you! As far as pre-existing lists go, Namira, I have one I'll upload, of registered songs we're missing...as far as demos, etc. go, a list of those would be much harder to find. What should I upload - everything not on the standard editions of both albums? Or should I assume the possession of at least some bonus tracks?

I can't decipher any of it to begin with.
  21. Oh, that's fine - just don't call it a remix.
  22. Absolutely not. It kinda is...you see, as far as I can tell, London DJ SBTRKT co-wrote the song with Florence, and the version they created is here included as a bonus track. However, longtime Flo contributor Kid Harpoon arranged and produced a different, more orchestral version for the main soundtrack, which is the one GQ Magazine posted a few days ago. The sooner the soundtrack gets released, the better. EDIT: Also, it's worth a mention that SBTRKT is a tribal/electronic producer, and if he does more with Florence, we're in for a treat!
