oh my god, the teasers have started

This album just gets better and better. I've mostly just been listening to the standard for now before i listen to the deluxe tracks properly. Maybe i'll listen to it next week and pretend its a whole new album (which it is but yk, spread it out)

Why do i feel like it's not called Lasso anymore and we'll never hear that word come from her mouth again

Okay here's my ranking/review after a few listens + some extra thoughts Top Tier 1. Down Bad 9/10 (I love this track so much, it's a perfect melancholy mid tempo pop song. Kinda reminds me of an unreleased Charli song, definitely my type of sound) 2. Guilty as Sin? 9/10 (This one had me gagged! I love the western style and melody, it reminds me of something from her RED era. The taylor i know and love<3) 3. The Tortured Poets Department 8/10 (Instant classic for me, i love the synths and the backing vocals. It sounds so elegant and mature. Beautiful) 4. But Daddy, I Love Him 8/10 (A classic Taylor track, i love that it's 5 minutes as well. It has a great outro and is just overall a great song) 5. Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? 7/10 (Her screaming the line was a great touch, i enjoyed this one!) 6. Fresh Out The Slammer 7/10 (That subtle guitar in the background is haunting, i love the melody because it's very Lana. This was an interesting fresh new sound for Taylor) Mid Tier 7. I Can Do It With a Broken Heart 7/10 (I love this song, it's fun, goofy and cheesy) 8. Fortnight 7/10 (Probably the most Midnight-esque track on the album, it starts off slow but picks up toward the end. It's not a great intro but a nice song overall) 9. So Long, London 7/10 (I need more time with this one but i think i'll grow to love it, its pretty and has a lot of potential) 10. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived 7/10 (Starts off boring but gets better towards the end, i liked the lyrics on this one) 11. The Alchemy 7/10 (Good song but kinda sounds like a lesser version of Guilty as Sin) Bottom Tier 12. My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys 7/10 (A bit basic, but still enjoyable) 13. loml 6/10 (I need more time with this one, but it didn't stand out to me. I do like the piano though) 14. Clara Bow 6/10 (probably the most "mehh" song on the album, it's alright i guess) 15. Florida!!! 5/10 (I just don't like this song at all) 16. I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) 5/10 (boring)

This is a great album. Down Bad and Guilty as Sin are my favourites so far. I absolutely love that western sound in guilty, and down bad is just so melancholy and gentle. There's a lot of highlights for me, i'm still on my second listen but might drop a ranking later today if i have the time. <3

Well lana's albums sound good, so what do you think?
-
can neil sing? i'd love a neil collab on a track just because his contribution to lana's aesthetic is.. far too much
-
There was no need for that blatant Lana del rey rip off title it's so on the nose it's insulting , must be awkward for lana when they interact, poor billie

im worried abt catching a virus off that site but i wanna hear it, do i trust it? nvm

as an ethel cain fan will i enjoy this record? (fav taylor albums 1989/lover/red/folklore) im not here for another lyrical snoozefest miss swift, give me strong melodies and dark vibes
-
this is what happens when you work with the same boring producer for like 5 albums straight, i have low expectations for her music these days
-
Tessa probably slipping some Lemsip into lana's drink when her eyes are closed
-
She's a nasty piece of work, i never liked her.
-
does this come out global time at midnight or local time?
-
It may have been true at the time she said this, that she wasn't listening to Lana and hadn't since UV, probably due to a bit of irritability with her comparisons to her. But she seems to like her again if she's adding fishtails into her playlist. I guess she's more confident as an artist now and knows that her music is nothing like Lana's (because its not) - she's definitely got a very distinctive sound imo. Although i can also see why some comparisons are made because there are some clear inspirations, but there is nothing wrong with that. Every artist is inspired by someone, even if unaware
